Berkley Boat Rod Holder, Black

Easy to attach and remove. A little light for big fish. Works well on my small boat. It works well for my needs.

This rod holder is just what I was looking for.Its heavy enough to not spread out and works great on my pontoon rail.The price was awsome.

My boat has round edges, therfore the rod holder does not clamp well. I actually had to bend the fastener to make a proper hold of the boat and it still is not perfect. I had such high hopes for these because I need them so badly. I am going to modify them further to make them fit right. Overall I like the design, but not the fastner.

I started trolling crank baits for walleye and crappie recently. I caught a ton of fish on these things, but I was forced to replace them at intervals. It might survive several snags but eventually, the thin materials were going to break. Sometimes it was sooner than later. They did help me catch fish, and at five dollars apiece, you could go through several to make up for one of the expensive kinds. My johnboat wasn't set up for those nice ones, so these worked for a spell. I wouldn't invest in them unless you were getting several to last for a single season. You would need to know that up front.

Not practical for most boat sides. Doesn't hold the rod very well.

This rod holder is the exact same, down to the packaging, as the even cheaper eagle claw. I know because I ordered, this as well as eagles. If you have a nice boat, you may not want to use this holder. The screw that clamps it extends through the foot ( which is really no more than a soft metal washer) and can really s scratch up your railing or where ever your using it. But it does what it says. It will hold a rod.

My boyfriend loves these! He has 4 of them he liked them so much! They attach right to the side of the boat and are easy to move to another boat if needed.

Works as expected. Bought another for a second pond boat. Easy to install. Frees up my hands to use other lures.
