Thermoasis 20 oz Stainless Steel Water Bottle With Thermo and Sport Cap

We really like it. I bought this for my 4th grader, and he loves the black color with red accents (he thinks it looks TOUGH). It's well-made, and I love the pop-up button. I also love the lock on the button—a great feature to keep backpacks and contents dry. It's a good bit larger than I expected (even compared to other thermos type containers with the same capacity), but that doesn't bother us now that we've gotten used to it. I really like the built-in pop up handle in the top, that's extremely convenient, and we added a carabiner to it to keep it fastened to the backpack when commuting, in case it works its way out of the side holder of the backpack. I don't love the bottom plastic ring around the bottom, as it makes getting it in and out of the backpack side holder a bit tricky, but I'm sure it makes up for it in stability on his desk at school. I have had many insulated water bottles, and this doesn't disappoint in design in any way. It does keep water cold (with a few ice cubes added in the morning) until well after school is out and we are back home. Haven't tried it for hot. Overall it's great and has served well, though we've only had it for one week of school, thus far.

First thing I noticed from unboxing, was the bottom cap was broken and off the bottle. I assume this happened in shipping, and not a problem in quality control in manufacturing. The missing cap doesn't have any affect on functionality of the bottle. I don't mind the cap being off the bottle, since in makes it actually fit into cup holders in the car. I doubt the bottle would fit into most car cup holders as it's made.This bottle, in water mode does it's job in keeping water cold for hours. The easy open cap flips wide open to make drinking water a breeze. You can move a lever to lock the lid, so it doesn't accidentally open. The locking lever can easily be bumped on accident though, making it one more step to get water sometimes.I have not used this bottle in the hot beverage mode, so I cannot review the bottle in that capacity. Similar insulated bottles that only do cold beverages are in the same price range, so you are getting two bottles for the price of one!(Update 5OCT16)Now that I've had the bottle for a while longer, I'm changing my rating to 1 star.Issue 1: The button to open the lid isn't flush, which can lead to accidental openings, which hearkened to me. The bottle fell in the couch cushions and opened up, soaking the cushions. I know the lid has a built in lock, so it was partially my fault, but my Thermos water bottle's button was recessed, so I never needed to lock the lid. Owned the Thermos for several years with no accidental opening.Issue 2: The bottle leaks even with the lid on. It may just be my particular bottle, but it is a disappointment. It doesn't continuously leak if tipped over or upside down, but when turned upright, water that was around the gasket for the spout leaks out. After I noticed this problem, I shook the bottle upside down and quite a lot of water sprays out.Although the bottle keeps my water cold like it's supposed to, my 2 issues above fear outweigh the good, so I'm rating this product 1 star.P. S. This bottle looks to be sold on Amazon with at least 2 other brands posted on the side.

I ordered 2 of them. After 3 weeks, the first showed tiny rust spots at the thread and then lost the vacuum and will no longer keep the contents cold or hot.I'm now using the second one ... will see hoe long it lasts

Keeps water cold, but within the first use, the pin almost fell out that holds the lid together. Thankfully we noticed it and slid it back in, but not sure we will be that lucky every time.

I ordered 2 and one is outstanding. The second one leaked but the company made it very easy to get a replacement. Looking forward to having two of these. They definitely keep the liquids cold.Only complaint would be that the wide base makes them impossible to fit in any cup holder.Update 4/12/17- the bottom cap has broken off and now the top won't close anymore. To the trash it goes!

Great Thermos! Only used it for ice cold drinks so far. Love the wide neck..able to put ice into the bottle. Keeps liquids cold for 6+ hours. The 20 oz size is great also. One handed opening mechanism a plus...once and awhile it will stick and not function/open but only rarely and not often enough to effective my 5 star overall rating!! Great designed vessel indeed !!!

I used this product twice. The second time I used it, I had filled it with ice & water. I noticed that condensation had formed on the exterior of the bottle which was not a good sign. A little over three hours later, the ice had melted and the water was warm. I went to use it for a third time and I noticed the outer rim had spots on it. I looked closer and saw that the inside of the rim had those same spots. It was rust. I checked inside the bottle and there were much larger rust spots throughout the interior. This is supposed to be made of stainless steel. This bottle was handwashed both times after usage. Very disappointed and I do NOT recommend buying this water bottle. There are others that are so much better such as Revomax or Zojirushi.

I mainly used this product for my cold water at work. This is really nice as this product is multi purpose you are able to put hot water as well.Although I have not use it to store hot water the cold water stays cool for at least 6 hours. The product is lightweight so it is perfect for a long hike and I definitely recommend it to bring when working out.I did received this product on a discount but the above opinions are all mine.
