This is a great little tool for taking the top off your boiled egg. Hold the scissor like handles, place the tool over the top of the egg, compress the handles to grip the egg and rotate slightly to score the shell then grip and lift the top off. Done properly the top comes away cleanly with little or no shell fragments.Altogether a great little tool sensibly priced.

Literally broke on first use. The egg was too strong and the blades bent and then jammed. Waste of money

Not as easy to use as my previous egg topper. ( which was much cheaper!!! but stopped working after 10 years)) You need to place your finger on the top of the boiled egg before using the cutter to ensure it cuts accurately, therefore keeping the egg stable in the egg cup. The cutting teeth do not seem to cut close enough to the egg shell to ensure a quick effective cut. Disappointed!!!!!!

Finally, a way to get the top off one's soft-boiled brekker! Works as expected - you need to be firm with it if you use free-range eggs as they have thick shells, but it works perfectly. No more messing with sharp knives on slippery shells...

It seemed a good idea untill I tried to take the top off the egg & the whole thing blew apart, the spring inside shot off over the other side of the kitchen.

Eggelent product! We love boiled egg and soldiers. This makes beheading the egg easy.

Does a good job at topping boiled eggs.

Item not branded name as shown. Apparently the idea is you place on shell of cooked egg, squeeze scissor like handles, teeth penetrate eggshell then you twist. Followed instructions, teeth in...where they touched...twisted and whole egg disintegrated. Rubbish!
