It's very sticky. I recommended watching a tutorial on how to hem with tape.
Works great and easy to use!

Great for hems
I used it on some jeans and it worked great. It was easy to use. After washing, I checked to see if it held, I could not pry it apart. I wish you could just buy one because I'll never use two.

Very good adhesion without ironing or double-sided tape -- just tough hemming glue.
Sometimes reviews and answers to questions can be for another similar or earlier version of a product , so it's important to understand first that this is a single-sided tape which actually applies the adhesive -- then remove the tape surface so that the clear adhesive is applied inside the two surfaces of your hemmed material. In other words it is a glue applied with a tape backing, and then peeled to permit the permanent glue to adhere the 2 surfaces of the material. I chose this peel and stick permanent adhesive in order to hem the cuffs of a leather jacket. Believe it or not, this adhesive is currently holding the leather in place nicely. Yes, the glue can be sticky as applied, but it also will peel if necessary as the adhesion first creates the hem. It is inexpensive enough to try a few times until you get it just right on extra pieces of material, if you like, before you apply it to a more sensitive project. I like this stuff and will keep some around.

AWESOME PRODUCT
I sew a lot as I make doll clothes. This stuff is awsome. When you are stitching in a small area, this is a great substitute for actual stitching. Many doll clothes have the velcro closures stitched on very shoddily. I put a piece of this under the closure and it sticks. I use it to put on accessories and to secure hems and seams and such that ravel. If you are working with cheaper items, this tape will make them sturdy. I have never washed it so I can't speak to that. It is quicker than sewing many times. The only caveat is that you have to have several pairs of cheap scissors since the tape adheres to them when you repeatedly cut it. I keep a jam jar of mineral spirits and I soak my scissors in them and the tape comes right off. Mineral spirits are just a stronger dose of nail polish remover. You can use nail polish remover but it takes a little longer. I never use my good sewing scissors with this tape. I have been using it for years. If they ever stop making it, I will cry, a lot.

A must for framing!
I restore antique frames. This works so good on replacing the old velvet liners in 1800's Victorian frames. Also, great for attaching linen to matboard for samplers and shadow box frames.
