Enjoying the long build, just an hour a day, at 92 it's about the limit of my endurance. 'Press on' is the phrase to use! Wonderfully detailed kit. I think 10 year old on is a wrong bit of info. except for a small minority.

Beleve it or not I have yet to start construction of this kit but I fell in love with it at first sight. It's not oversized and also not miniaturised. The functions are all manual which greatly appeals to me from an operational standpoint. In order for there to be a true connection between the technology and the human user then motorised operation must not be involved, regardless of outright capability. I am handy and have a few ideas for additional fittings that I can apply to this lovely technic kit to minimise any shortcomings. I don't need outright power, just enough to genuinely satisfy. This kit is very functional and will also display nicely. I am an already pleased and satisfied customer. Ideal and spot on, this kit has a wonderful connection with me due to classic technic construction from when I was a boy. Many thanks to lego technic and of course to amazon.co.uk as well.

As a child I was a fan of Lego but we never really had the money to buy much, and of course in those days it was mostly just standard bricks, you were lucky if you had sloping parts for making a roof... A couple of years ago my wife bought me a Lego Technic Rally Car, and so my love of Lego was reborn. With some Christmas and Birthday money I looked around for an interesting model, and found this one at a lower price than if purchased direct from Lego. It was a great build, over three evenings, and had plenty of technical aspects with three separate geared controllers for the crane, plus eight wheel steering. Beside being such a fun build, the finished model looks good and is a great size. It's a very welcome addition to my growing Lego Technic collection.

This was purchased for my 9-year-old son birthday. The best price was on Amazon and ordered in plenty of time, turned up on his birthday and he was over the moon. it took us about 5 hours to build and we both fully enjoyed building it together and he loves showing it off to his friends and family, ok currently via Zoom/WhatsApp/etc... I have always been a fan of Lego/Technic Lego over other similar manufactures of this type of product. the instructions are good and Lego has now done an app. The app makes doing some of the trick parts easier as you can zoom in/out and rotate the product around. for what we paid for it (£60 delivered) it was a real bargain, 1962 pieces of original Lego.

No torsion resistance so truck twists. Unable to pick much weight up at all. Cogs skip teeth when extending or lifting. Winders are the wrong type. No weight in model and stabilizers do not stay locked down properly. Overall good for looking at but this is not the Technic Lego I remember and doesn't perform the task of being a crane too well. Consider the larger, more sturdy knockoffs instead. At this point they are actually better.

I have not touched LEGO for more than 20 years. Completely forgot about its existence. Was an absolute delight to rediscover my old passion for building. This set was brilliant for me to see how much the LEGO technic has developed over those years. Got it on a discount 59£ for 1292 pieces was a must-have. The set presents the basics of gearing and a variety of mesmerizing motions. 4 wheel steering is weirdly satisfying to experience. Even my girlfriend was so fascinated by the design and how much fun it was to build. Quoting her "It is the best toy I have ever seen". Thank you to LEGO for the awesome experience and to Amazon for appealing prices. Now we are hooked up and will come back for more complex sets.
