One Handed Pump Salt and Pepper Mill - Set of 2 Pepper Grinders

These are really thin and somewhat top heavy, so get knocked over all the time, finally causing the acrylic to crack. The one-handed idea sounds good in theory, but in practice, unless you're looking for physical therapy, it's a real pain to use. Literally. Plus, very little comes out per press, and there is no ability to adjust the coarseness. Get a grinder.

I initially got interested in the button style mills when I switched from standard table salt to kosher salt. Kosher salt tastes better and is generally more useful for cooking. The problem is it does not work with any shaker I know. These mills are brilliant for dispensing a consistent amount of finely ground salt with an easy push of your thumb. After using it in the kitchen for a year or so I bought a couple more, one for black pepper and one for white pepper. All three are never far out of my reach when I am cooking. They are also easily attractive enough to be used for table service. The one I have used for over a year shows no appreciable signs of wear so I know it is rugged. I use mine mostly for kosher salt, but I have no doubt it would handle coarser salts as well.

Frequently gets stuck and then a ton comes out

They are too slender to stand up well and you have to pump the top to get the pepper/salt going. They are not what I had hoped for. Too much work really.

I was hoping for a true one handed product but found the pepper shaker needs to be batted with one hand while holding it in the other. It's still a very likeable product and works fine for guests and family. I would buy another set if I needed one.

This is, by far, the easiest to use one-handed pepper mill I've ever tried. It looks great on the table at dinner time, would fit beautifully in a lunch box, and would be perfect to take along on a picnic. I'm so glad I purchased this set!

These grinders work great. I have had no problems using them with only one hand.(I'm using Sea Salt and Tellicherry peppercorns from Wegmans)The only negative is that I always get the question "How much do they cost" followed by shock and disbelief.I think they are worth the money, but I haven't found anyone else who agrees.I would recommend these grinders.
