I have fine hair and this works for me. It gets EXTREMELY tangled and can be impossible to comb after a shower. I saw this elixir in a YouTube video and the girl recommended a lot of products I'd already tried and this one. She said this one was the best of the bunch and was her "cream of the crop", so I had to try it. And OMG IT'S AMAZING! I only spritz it 1-2 times if my hair is really tangled, or I wear it at night. It really is an elixir. It takes away any tangles better than anything I've ever tried, and I've tried A LOT. It also smells really, really good (all Shea Moisture products smell great). It leaves my hair shiny, soft, tangle free, and frizz free. Can't say enough good things about this. If your hair is extremely dry or tangled, try this. It's better than It's a 10, Pantene, argan oil, and every detangling product I've tried (which is A TON). I even like that it's called an elixir because that's exactly what it was for me.

I have thick naturally curly (3B/4A) hair. In the winter i suffer from dullness and extreme dryness. I've tied a ton of products, some of which don't moisturize my hair enough, while others leave a yucky residue that leaves my hair even more dull than before and tons of build up on my scalp. I was recently turned on to the Shea Elixer by a friend of mine, and the difference is night and day! In the two weeks i've been using the spray my hair is bouncy shiny and downright amazing (if i do say so myself). I've gotten complments walking in the grocey store, so hopefully Shea will see a spike in sales from my testimonials. LOL. I use as a sealing oil on freshly washed hair overtop of my leave in conditioner (done in twists or braids so i can get some oil on my scalp) I will also use nightly, with a light spritz all over, before putting on my bonnet. I can say nothing bad about it. Smells great, really does what it says it will. This will be part of my hair routine from this point forward. I wish there was a way to give it more than 5 stars!!

This oil is like any other oil but heavier....it comes out like a stream rather than a mist so you have to spray it in your hands and then apply to your hair. Why have a spray bottle when you cant even spray it directly to the hair? anywhos....I use this after im done flat ironing (because per instructions on the bottle, you are not to use this WHILE flat ironing, only after you are done) and then when I wrap my hair. It definately keeps it moist with the oil and shiny but even though it does not feel super greasy, it ends up looking super greasy. Just be careful on how much you use, if may feel like you need alot but you really dont.

I usually use my own oil or butter mixture to seal my super thick and curly hair in the LCO method, but I was given a sample of this and when I tried it I immediately fell in love with it! I think it does a wonderful job as a sealing oil and really does keep the moisture in. I also believe it helps to not only keep the moisture in but add moisture itself. A little goes a long way for me as too much heavy oils will just make my hair greasy instead of shiny. With this product added to my line-up, it has helped make my hair shiny, soft, and stronger, it is wonderful. I will definitely be buying this again and again. I am a big fan of shea moisture and their products.

Again, a great product by Shea Moisture. I use this on my curly hair once it's completely dry to smooth fly-aways and to refresh my hair (gives it a little shine and peps it up on the 2nd and 3rd day). Truth be told I wash my hair once a week now, and it has never looked better. I scrunch a little of this into my ends to refresh my style all of the time, and it works great. My hairdresser said my hair is in the best shape, and it's longer than it has ever been. I didn't know what attributed to that, but maybe it's the use of Shea Moisture, not washing and blowdrying my hair as often, and putting this oil in my ends. Whenever I wear this product in my hair I always get complements on how I smell. I consider that a wonderful bonus.

This product is perfect for my hair. I have thick, curly hair and I live in a very dry climate with no humidity so this elixir is a lifesaver. I apply it after my leave-in conditioner and it makes my hair softer and shinier.

so i like this product for a scalp conditioner/prepoo treatment. My scalp gets really dry and itchy and flaky sometimes and this definitely helps with that. For the hair its self i can see this being great for someone with really high porosity, heavily textured thick hair. I can see someone with more ethnic hair really liking this product but for my half Caucasian somewhat Spanish curls its far too heavy. leaves it looking greasy and stringy like i haven't washed in 2 weeks. the scent is strong and not my favorite at least it doesnt linger too long. i will keep this for dry scalp days but not as a hair glosser

Va benissimo per i capelli molto secchi e ricci. Bisogna stare attenti a non applicare il prodotto sulle radici, metterlo solo sulla lunghezza dei capelli e le punte. Basta poco per idratare.
