Ok, serious question… what’s the point? Isn’t this just foundation?

Well...yes and no. It feels specifically made for the eyelid when you apply it. Or maybe, as you imply, it's just a gimmick. The thing to be alert to is the consistency. I had never used these Perricone products before, and I now think that what I bought was too dry and thus too old. I didn't see an expiration date. And over time I have come to believe that exp. dates are key with any skin treatment or cosmetic. I also ordered a Laura Mercier mascara, and it too was much too dry.

How does it spread on a mature eyelid?

I apply dotting eyelids w product and gently pat and spread eyeshadow w my fingertips versus using an eyeshadow brush but that a just me .
