Really Bright
The bulb is very, very bright in my two cell C Maglite. The tight beam lights up a house door a block away. Coming from England, it cost more bc of postage and VAT. I would have gotten another one, but it was no available for sale. I will try a look-alike from Amazon.

Yea! Finally, an LED lamp that works with 2 to 6 cell lights!
After many years, I was finally able to make use of my D cell sized nickel-metal hydride (Ni-MH) batteries. Their voltage is lower than typical dry cells (1.2 vs 1.5 volts). With three batteries in series, total voltage dropped from 4.5 to 3.6 volts - a 20% reduction. Thus, light output (lumens) was greatly reduced when using incandescent lamps. Sadly, a two cell, light emitting diode (LED) flashlight also failed to work with the Ni-MH batteries as it needed higher voltage as well. HOORAY! this MagLite torch (flashlight) LED upgrade/conversion bulb was designed to work in two to six cell torches. That is, operable in flashlights designed for 3 to 9 volt systems. My three Ni-MH batteries produce 3.6 volts – well within the design parameters.

Great bulbs
Have not had any trouble with these. They are bright and do not flicker. I bought 2, put 1 in a 2 cell maglite and 1 in a 3 cell maglite. They work great so far. Bought 5 more for my Maglites in the garage and basement. They are bright and work great. They work well with the reduced voltage of recharrgeable batteries.
