Good quality seed with a good germination rate
I've top-dressed my lawn with this seed mixed in and am seeing new growth after 2 weeks. If you keep the lawn moist there's no problem at all. Can't comment on the grass mix just yet as the growth it too young, but I'm not doing a crown green bowls lawn ;) I'll be overseeding into the autumn to bulk the lawn up a bit and if I need more, this is the seed I'll be buying.

Follow to my question - Perhaps the answer.
So I bought 5kg but only needed about 2kg, wanted the rest for later. Prepared the area, I was levelling up an old lawn by about 2ft. I put down a few stone chipping to help drainage then soil I had removed from a near by area. This was water well and rolled, levelled off. I then lightly raked the top just to rough it up a little. I then watered well again. I seeded the whole area well but not only enough to still be able to see the soil. I think if you aim for about ten seeds per square inch that should be fine. I them rolled a light roller over, in fact it was an old drainage tube with a few rocks inside to give it weight. Watered each day but nothing ... 3 weeks laterI raked over and started again. I assume because of the very high temperatures during the period the ground was just too warm. However this time I also reached down to the middle of the seed sack to pull out the handfuls of seed I needed. Thinking there that perhaps the top layer had been exposed to something while stored. I will say that seed did look better, more like a seed and not a furry hust. This time I did a test by planting it in a small pot I was thankful grass grew after about 5 days in this controlled environment. So I seeded the area again only this time the weather was on my side. It wasn't so hot and a few days later I saw a few signs of life. Although at this point I wasn't too thrilled it still looked a bit hit and miss. But the heavens open and overnight, not kidding you it went from dirt to be able to see grass from my window some 20 feet away. When I looked closer the seeds although a bit sparse still had grown well over an inch. Next day honestly it was hard to tell where the old lawn met the new seed. It's really thickening up now.So that's my story, I've rated on my experience. My lawn is no where near ready to mow but I'm confident I haven't wasted my money here. It's a shame this company don't answer questions, you'll have decide if it's worth for you.
