Works great to charge our Rivian through the OBD2 port.
Bought this to put a trickle charger on our Rivian to reduce vampire drain. Wire colors follow the OBD2 protocol. I suggest wiring in a 3 amp fuse.

Pins not wired as described on Amazon
Be aware: OBD II pins are *NOT* wired in accordance with the pin diagram shown on Amazon page. Wires are very small (24ga) and very hard to wire in with other wires. Works well enough for the price but in this case you get what you pay for. It did work so it was worth the price.

Pin out wire colors are wrong and connector tight fit
It was good for the price but the pin out colors were wrong and the connector was a tight fit. I think it will workWhy don’t the update the wire colors on the add?

Incorrect pinout
Pin 13 is wired to gray wire not black/white per the diagram. I just needed 4 and 13 shorted out. Unsure how the rest are wired out. Test continuity for each wire so u know what is wired to what.

Strong well-made professional finishing touch connector for car electronics
This connector is well made with plated pins and strain relief. I used an ohmeter to check the connectivity between each pin I needed and the stripped wire ends to be sure I got the correct connections. Stripping more insulation and soldering to the wires was easy. It's a nice connector for hooking up to my car... Fit the OBD2 plug securely. An upgrade and much better than the individual wires I was using before. Glad I bought it.

used it to make a jumper, safer than using a paper clip.

Easy to use
Don't let other reviewers scare you away about no wire pinout or diagrams. It literally took me about 30 seconds to use an ohmmeter to check continuity between the connector pins I needed to hook up and the colored wires they went with. Easy! I'll be buying more of these next time I make another bench harness for programming ECMs.

Quick delivery but no pin/ wire key included.
Looks to be reasonably made. HOWEVER, there is no color key included. The key in the ad does not match the product so don't use it. You will need to use a VOM to determine which of sixteen pins goes with a color.or visa versa. Seems like a fundamental omission.
