Nunn BushMen's, Marvin Street Oxford

Is this shoe what is says it is?
I've raved enthusiastically about Nunn Bush Oxfords before, however the type I've previously purchased are no longer available. I bought this version as it seemed like the closest example to what I had before. First off, I'm wondering if this is another shoe branded as "Marvin Street" Plain Toe Oxford as the tongue of both the left and right shoe had two pin holes at the top - like some other branding was originally affixed there and taken off. The pinholes are not a big deal as my pant cuffs cover them up. Putting the shoes on, I had difficulty with my heel folding the back of the shoe just enough for it to be uncomfortable. Using a shoe horn solved this problem - a shoe horn I haven't had to use in over a decade for any brand of Oxford. What did Nunn Bush change? and why? Once on, the shoe was comfortable and performed like previous Nunn Bush, however the new, non-slip design occasionally squeaks on hardwood and tile floors - like you are playing on a basket ball court. This is somewhat annoying as there was never this issue with the old non-slip soles. Again, why the change? These 3 things make me wonder if these were produced by Nunn Bush or for Nunn Bush by another producer using what materials they already had on hand. I'll probably search out another brand to try in the future as these issues worry me about Nunn Bush consistency.

Don't hold up
If wore daily, shoe starts falling apart within 2 months. Very comfortable but low quality. Price used to reflect quality but not anymore. Price is extremely high for the quality of the shoe.

Good looking Shoe. But …..
Was looking for a good looking shoe to wear with a tuxedo at my daughters wedding. Bought them over a month in advance so I could get my size. Bought a pair for my son. After an hour standing up I had to change into sneakers in order to dance with my daughter. My son was sorry I made him wear these instead of his back new balance.

Hard to complain I always buy this shoe for work as they last 5 months
Hard to complain I always buy this shoe or a similar one from Nunn bush for work and they remain comfortable and looking good for 5 months. I average between 6000 and 10,000 steps a day causing wear that makes most shoes unusable in only 3 months( i have gotten 8 months out of a pair of these shoes but usually i needed to replace laces and start shining them and the heel tread got worn away). I work in an office mostly on the phone at a standing desk and pace as I talk. I have been buying Nunn Bush for over 7 years when my previous shoe maker Bostonian suddenly dropped in quality having defects right out of the box. I have gotten many compliments on how shiny my shoes remain even though I never shine them and a simple wipe from a wet cloth is enough to clean them.

Second pair of NUNN BUSH! Still as excellent as the first!
I bought my first pair of these shoes at JC Penney back in 2017. I did not buy these to replace them, they are still in really good shape for 5-year-old shoes! These are as comfortable and slip-resistant as you can get. What I like about them best is that they fit and feel like sneakers. I am extremely happy with this brand and will undoubtedly buy more in the future. PLEASE DISREGARD THE POOR REVIEWS!!! They are highly inaccurate in pretty much everything they are saying.
