Great value for money
I was looking for something to store some DIY tools and supplies, cans of left over paint, some camping and sports gear, Christmas decorations and gardening and despite few negative reviews, I have decided to get this one.The instructions in the manual are very detailed although I didn't have to use it since the assembly was very straightforward. It took me roughly 45 minutes to put the whole thing together on my own. It could have definitely been faster but I had very limited working space. You will definitely need a rubber headed mullet to put it together but if you don't have one, you can put a folded kitchen towel on top of the metal before hitting with a hammer to prevent damage to the paint work.I haven't tested it with placing the advertised 175 kg load per shelf but for normal household items it looks very sturdy. The MDF boards look very thin when you take them out of the box but thanks to the support beams under each shelf, that shouldn't be a issue. The boards seemed to have been treated for anti-mould and I haven't seen any negative reviews regarding moulding. But because MDF is naturally very prone to moulding, I didn't want to take any chances and used another layer of wood protection cream.Make sure you attach it to the wall from the top on both sides if you are concerned about children trying to climb it - like every piece of furniture, it can fall on top of them.

Excellant, value for money, shelving unit.
I wanted to put more shelving and generally sort my garage out. This unit was a cheap, solid, large shelved unit with plenty of storage on its good sized shelves. The unit went together well, very clever design, no nuts and bolts or screws, it fits together by sliding metal shapes into a raised brackets, ( difficult to explain) just expect to bend a few of the shapes that slide into the apperture that it is meant to go into, don't let that put you off as it was no problem. I was delighted with the unit when finished, very strong, and for the price an excellant buy. Took me and the misses perhaps 30 mins to put together!!!

Good value for money. Sturdy when built
I had initially added a two-bay to my basket, but it was unavailable when I eventually went to place the order. Instead, I ordered this single bay unit, initially as I wanted to get an idea for how sturdy it was before committing to two of them. Part of my reservation was because it was markedly cheaper than most other single bay racks. When it was delivered, I was a little shocked and worried about how small it was in the box. I was concerned also when unpackaging it as the metal seemed quite flexible and flimsy. However, as I got to work building it up, it became increasingly more sturdy and solid. It looks smart in the glossy black finish. The shelves are strong and the wood was cleanly cut and free from damage. Generally, I'm quite happy with this racking. I've got some at work that is of a superior quality, but cost considerably more.On my rack in my garage i've got tools, tool boxes, gardening equipment and various other clutter and junk that needed a home. It has neatened up my garage massively.I will be buying another to position immediately next to the one I now have. Thankfully, they come with hooks so that you can connect them together, which is a bonus. In summary; decent product. Don't judge it until it's been built. Sturdy and fair value. Looks smart. Should last. Before long, thanks to these racks, I will be able to get my car into my garage again! :D

Excellent shelving unit... Really strong item,.. Almost perfect...
overall 5 star and is excellent for £35 but 2 things let it down slightly and it isnt till you are building it you will see these frustrations... However once built it is quite excellent!!!!1) The instructions are very basic and arrived partly shredded like others have commented.. I would suggest you need to have some basic DIY skills to build this.2) the main upright beams that lock together have an absolute terrible locking mechanism, absolutly fine when built but they really need to look at this locking mechanism as it will frustrate you when building it as they just keep falling apart!!! Once built it is great just cant understand why they chose this type of poor fixing?Mine had to fit in a small cupboard in the house with only mm to spare so you can imagen how interesting it was to mostly erect in a small cupboard but it fits perfectly for everything i need. CupboArd emptied, shelving built and everything replaced in under 2 hrs isnt badFor £35 you cant go wrong, just expect a few frustrations when building it, ( A RUBBER MALLET IS ESSENTIAL INORDER TO BUILD THIS )

Very impressed.m
Easy enough to assemble. A rubber mallet essential but easy enough on your own to build. Once all together it becomes very sturdy and bigger than I thought which I’m pleased with. Has strengthening bars for the shelves too which will stop the mdf from warping. Would recommend.

Good shelving at a great price
The shelving unit is exactly as advertised. Contrary to some previous reviews, I found this was an absolute doddle to assemble - it took me (on my own) about twenty minutes to put it all together (after first checking that there were no missing components). The instructions say it requires two competent people to assemble, but as long as you proceed logically and carefully, that's not true. It is suggested that a rubber mallet is required, but I didn't have one to hand and managed with a normal everyday hammer, wrapped in some old socks - it's only required to tighten up the connections, and if you're stronger than me (not difficult!) you can probably push them in sufficiently by hand. The instructions are clear, the actual assembly is simple and once assembled the unit appears to be very sturdy. It's not aesthetically pleasing by any stretch, but it is functional and does exactly what I wanted it to do. Highly recommended at the £35 I paid.

Sturdy and easy to assemble
I ordered 2 of these shelves to place back to back to organize household items. They came with attachments to secure the shelves to each other and make a sturdy unit. The instructions say to have at least 2 people, I assembled both on my own (I am 65 years old). Assembly time for the 2nd one was 72 (woman) minutes. My only advise would be to add the rubber feet as instructed but don't add the tops until completely assembled as they are in the way when trying to add the top shelf runners and shelf. PS, I used a putty knife to slide under the tabs of brace/shelf support to bend the tabs over.

Very solid and sturdy
These shelves are great. Assembly wasn't easy but not extremely difficult either. Definitely worth it, they are very strong shelves.
