Great for motor skills!
This toy is great for keeping our 6 month old busy. She will pull the carrots out and do this a few times before she becomes bored. I do sit with her because she likes to throw it down (so far it has held up quite well to her abuse!). I hope to stock the house full of busy toys to minimize screen time. This would be a great baby shower gift because this is something not a lot of people gift.

We love it
My 6 month old was immediately obsessed. The whole thing is really nicely made. Durable for his throwing moments. Great price for a solid wood toy. I can tell pulling the carrots is really helping with hand eye coordination. In a very short period of time he went from struggling to pick up one to picking up one in each hand. I was worried that he might be too young for something like this but it was easy to use and a perfect addition to his daily play time routine.

Decent Toy for Baby
I received this product today and was a bit disappointed. I was under the impression that the base would be wooden, but that the carrot parts would be all plastic for easy cleaning. The carrots are wooden like the base and the leaf of the carrots are cloth. They don't stand up straight like the picture implies, which is why I assumed they were plastic. I wanted to clean the product before letting my child play with it, but did not really know whether to boil it, wipe the wood with a cleaner or submerge it in hot soapy water. I guess next time I'll be smarter as to which toys I select going forward.

Completely recommend
I bought this toy about four years ago, for my then-baby as an Easter basket toy. She loved it then, and has always wanted it to stay when I do toy purges. Well now it's getting tons of use all over again with my 10 month old. We play a game to see if I can put all the carrots in before she crawls over and pulls them all out again, haha. Both my kids have chewed on these and I don't see any real marks on them yet. None of the carrot tops have come loose yet. Just super solid little sensory/ puzzle toy.

This is one of our favorite toys
Purchased for 11 month old. She loved them but needed supervision. A few of the carrots are small (about 1.5 inches x 1/3 inch Iโd say) so was concerned about choking. She does try to put them in her mouth. Additionally hand coordination is not so good at this age but thatโs how we improve. . She is now 14 months and still loves playing with it. Defiantly grows with the child. Perfect for counting, sorting, size recognition and hand dexterity. Paint is very sturdy and has not come off anywhere. Wood block is sturdy and smooth to touch. We play with these constantly. I HIGHLY recommend this product with the understanding that you need to supervise infants and toddlers .
