Sturdy Alternative to Undersized Precision Screwdrivers - The Torque We've Been Waiting For.
Overall Length: 7 3/4" (200mm)Shank Length: 4" (100mm)Tip Width: 1/8" (3.2mm)MAIN ADVANTAGE: A small tip width, with a larger diameter handle than most 1/8" tip screwdrivers...Klein's miniature series included, this link was previously the best Klein screwdriver with a 1/8" tip, but note the small handle diameter Klein Tool 608-4 1/8-Inch Cabinet Tip Miniature Screwdriver with 4-Inch Round ShankMAIN DISADVANTAGE: The temptation to use it on things other than low torque wire terminating, which will likely result in a broken tip. Just because you see that reliable black and yellow sticking out of the dark recesses of your tool bag, don't give in to temptation and begin to use this on any other type of screw other than a terminal block.THIS TOOL FITS 99% of the terminal blocks in our facility. I found one type that had a just under 3mm screw hole width (screwdriver tip is 3mm wide), which made me have to pull out the old precision screwdriver. But, they are fairly rare and you can count on this fitting most standard IEC and NEMA blocks. The truth is I could have forced this tool down into the hole and probably tightened the screw, but that leads to other problems with distorting the terminal block and causing the tightening screw to move over and disappear.IT SEEMS UNIMAGINABLE that a Klein screwdriver (other than one that uses 10 different bits) would get any other rating other than 5 stars. This one is no different. I have searched feverishly for a high quality regular screwdriver that will work on terminal blocks. I have been struggling with different sets of precision screwdrivers for years trying to find one that will produce the proper torque, fit in the screw properly and last (many broken undersized tips in my past).LOOSE TERMINAL BLOCK SCREWS in an industrial facility are producing downtime at an ever increasing rate, as things get more automated. I believe they are so common because few technicians (me included) own a screwdriver that will tighten the screw properly. Especially if there are more than one wires under the same terminal block screw.Control panels/terminal blocks are the central nervous system of the facility. Now you can give them the attention they deserve and put that "precision" screwdriver to work tightening your sunglasses, not critical controls terminations.

Technicans best friend
Have you ever wished you had a small flat head screw driver with a long skinny shank? Then look no further. This little fella fits the bill with ease. As a electrical technician I have to fiddle with tiny and I mean tiny terminal blocks that take 22-14 guage wire all the time. This has been permanently added to my carry bag as it just makes life so much easier. The flat head measuring 1/8th inch will put in miles of work.Need to remove a wire from a small terminal block? Or what about a contactor with a tiny release for the din rail? How about a push-in wire connector giving you fits and not opening?Well this is the tool for the job. Its so handy and works so amazingly well you will wish you had it sooner.

Klein makes great tools
Outstanding made in America tool and a welcome addition to my current Klein collection. Very well balanced and the grip for the screwdriver is amazing. It’s comfortable and easy to use which is consistent with this brand. I appreciate the lifetime warranty Klein offers (unlike Craftman’s “lifetime” warranty which won’t allow for any speck of rust, and I mean speck!) Thank you Klein tools for holding such high standards of quality and construction, and for your continued excellence in the industry.
