I’ve only done these strips for 3 days and I’m already seeing results. I’ve done other whitening strips before and they always make my teeth super sensitive. These strips do not bother my teeth or gums at all and my teeth are shiny white and they just keep getting better after every treatment. It is simple to apply to your teeth as well. The only downfall is that if you don’t place them just right, they can slide off and not stay secure but it is just a minor detail that doesn’t really make much of a difference in the overall results. I only wish I had taken before/after photos so you could see it for yourself.

Unlike Crest strips, which use peroxide, Lumineux is peroxide-free and focuses on more natural ingredients like coconut oil and essential oils, so I didn’t experience any sensitivity at all . That alone makes it a great option if your teeth are prone to irritation. That said, the results are more gradual. While Crest Whitestrips tend to give faster, more noticeable whitening because of their stronger bleaching agents, Lumineux works more subtly over time. I did see improvement, but it wasn’t as dramatic or as quick as what I’ve experienced with Crest. Application is easy and comfortable, though the strips feel a bit softer and slightly different in texture compared to Crest. They stay on well enough, but not quite as firmly. Overall, if I had to choose: Crest is better for fast, dramatic whitening results Lumineux is better for sensitive teeth and a more natural approach I personally like having Lumineux as a gentler alternative, but if you’re looking for quick, high-impact whitening, Crest still comes out on top.

I’ve used the name brands strips off and on, with good results and just a little bit of sensitivity. Here are my pros and cons on these whitening strips. Pros: The taste is much better than the others I’ve used It has fewer chemicals than the others I’ve used. It looks like only one or two ingredients are synthetic, probably only one It doesn’t make my teeth any more sensitive than usual Cons: The strips don’t stick as well as the others I’ve tried. They are pretty slippery when you put them on but after a while they don’t move as much While they do whiten, I’m not getting as much results as with the others. I’ve been using them for a couple of weeks and typically see more results by now The worst character of this product is the gummy residue left behind when you remove them. It is really, really thick. You can’t just swish water around your mouth to remove it. I’ve found that even a toothbrush doesn’t remove all of it, just most of it. Unless I also use my waterpik first, I feel like there is still a coating on my teeth. When I use my waterpik it leaves residue in the sink that has to be wiped off and can’t just be washed down with water. This is not a product you would want to use on your way to work and expect to go in before you brush your teeth. Overall, I think this product, for me anyway, is one I would use more for touch-ups between using the name brands. The lack of sensitivity is a big plus for me.

I love these whitening strips. They seem to whiten my teeth better than other over-the-counter whitening strips. I like the natural ingredients and the price point.

Please forgive the flax seed between my teeth in the before picture. Pictures were taken four days apart, in the same window. Both were taken in the morning. Not sure of the timing though. I'm honestly on the fence about these strips. Let's look at the pro's and the con's, in my humble opinion: Pro's: * They are easy to peel and place on teeth ... well the top teeth at least. * They do whiten. Is it noticeable enough? Read further. Con's: * They could not be more uncomfortable! The strip will stick to the front of the teeth but the left over that folds behind the teeth does not stay in place! There's no talking with these things on. Heck ... I was afraid to even open my mouth! Everything about these just felt unstable in my mouth! * Had a heck of a time getting the strips to stay in place on my bottom teeth. Saliva is a problem when trying to get these things to stick and stay in place. * There is a taste. That is unavoidable but if we're talking about pro's and con's, I have to mention it. Is it a bad taste? Not really. It's just a bit sticky, gooey and yucky. * The instructions say to use these for 4 days in a row and then once a week after (although ... I could not find those instructions on the box or the packages of strips inside the box. I finally found the instructions here on the Amazon page.) Not a fan of that idea. I suppose once you get past the first week, it's all about maintenance no matter what kind of whitening product I use. Let's not forget I'm 62 years of age. My teeth are not young teeth. I love my morning coffee. I do brush and floss daily. I'm no longer a wine drinker. I have used whitening applications I got from the dentist with a formed mouth piece, which I really do prefer over strips however, daily application until achieved whiteness is still the protocol, like it or not. My teeth are a little whiter so that is a win however, I will probably try to find another product I can use in my mouth piece for future whitening. Just really did not enjoy using these strips.
