is the lid glass as well?

The lid is not glass and you remove it when heating in the microwave.

how to get replacement lids, because the edges & latches break too easy?

I had that problem the first usage of one of these. I returned it for a replacement which so far has not broken as have none of the others I own. I actually love these things. They are superior to every other "to go" container in my opinion. The plastic lock on latches are the only weak point of them I have experienced to date. I own over 30 of these in the different sizes and colors available and it has only happened to one so far..

Can the sleeve be taken off?
