This is so amazing it's almost addictive. I love to cut them into strips and then just pan-brown each side. If you have a non-stick pan you don't even need any extra oil although I did use a little olive oil. It came delivered with ice packs which was really impressive. The seller cares about the quality of the product upon arrival. Follow the instructions and I just stored in the fridge because I knew that it wouldn't last long in our house. Really good product.

Every once in a while someone has an experience so defining that it cleaves their life into a “before” and “after.” This cheese is that experience for me. The flavor is a salty and subtly garlic-infused treasure. The texture when it’s sautéed is perfection. The possibilities for its culinary use are extensive and I doubt I’d be able to find all of them even with several lifetimes. I could eat this cheese with every single meal and never get sick of it. Love it! For the record though: 1. These are 6oz blocks. Even the Carr website says 10oz everywhere on these same blocks, but they are are really 6oz each. The nutrition info panel is correct (1oz x 6 servings), which you can see on the Carr website also. All the web listings are wrong. I think this is Carr's fault not the selling vendors here at amazon. The vendor probably just copied whatever Carr had. 2. The nutrition info doesn't add up. 7g fats (63 cal) 6g protein (24 cal) leaves 13 calories which would require it have just over 3 carbs per oz. Which is way too much for cheese, which is usually <1 carb per oz (from about 0.2 - 1.0 for common types). Carr lists it as 0 carb which is unlikely but labeling laws do allow anything <1 to be marked as 0. Still even if it had 1 carb, that's still about 9 calories not accounted for somewhere. No big deal to most people, but for those who moderate carbs for medical conditions like seizures (ketogenic diet), details matter. Since people tend to eat several ounces at once and if you had the money I could see someone half-living on this stuff all day for awhile. ;-) 3. THE GOOD PART! Separately, about the cheese: amazing. Sliced it, fried it (cheese-not-browned side down, both sides), let it cool enough to eat... slightly crunchy outside, tastes awesome but very neutral, you could dip this in almost anything in the world and it would be good. Or eat it plain. I dipped it in homemade salsa. However the price goes up per oz when you realize the packages are all 40% less than advertised. Still, if you can afford it, this stuff is worth the price -- it is really good!!

This cheese tastes amazing and is so versatile for making low carb snacks. I have made “grilled cheese sandwiches” by splitting it in half and putting ham in between the “slices” and crisping on my Panini grill; “french toast” by frying it in a pan until crisp and serving with butter and syrup; “mozzarella sticks” by slicing into strips and browning in the toaster oven and serving with marinara sauce; and I have even put it on the grill to make a crispy charred “bun” for sliders. The cheese does not melt or lose its shape when heated but becomes crispy on the outside and soft and pliable on the inside and it tastes great. It has always been hit and miss finding this cheese locally and now that I can get this through Amazon - I am thrilled that I can always have it on it hand. If you have never had Bread Cheese before - don’t even hesitate - buy this. You will become hooked!

Lived in Miami for over 10 years where frying cheese can be found at any nearby grocery store. Moved away and have been trying to fry various types of cheeses available in my area with not that great results. My mother recently found this at a local grocery store and recommended I try it because she said it tasted just like it. Ordered it and sure enough she was right. This one comes already pre browned so it's just a matter of putting it in a skillet for additional browning and getting it soft. Yes, it is expensive but this is the only frying cheese I have been able to find in my neck of the woods. If you are looking for frying cheese, then this is it. Highly recommend this if you have never tried it. In my opinion, it is one of the most delicious cheeses you will ever eat.

Great taste, Great texture, but way too salty.

Bread cheese is magical! I have introduced many people to the wonders of bread cheese. Makes a good breakfast, delicious snack, or a wonderful dessert (especially if you like the versatility of a cheese).
