Great product
Great coverage and low odor very easy to apply with a brush, wanted a matt finish after painting that would give good coverage and be hard wearing and this definitely lived up to my expectations. Gave my kitchen units 3 coats and great finish and easy clean. It goes a long way too. Would definitely recommend

Adds shine and the wall is easy to wipe down now
I brought this after doing so research with out having to repaint the wall in brought this because I made the mistake of getting the matt emulsion paint so when it dried I instantly didnt like the texture of the wall the matt paint made smudge marks from running my finger on a tiny bit. So once I had this I used a small roller as it goes on better. I have navy blue walls and I did end up buying about 3 tins just because of the size of the wall and It had about 4coats of the lacquer on but I. So pleased with it. It's now wipeable and looks shiny and fresh and looks so nice against the white door frame

Listen to the reviews regarding dark colours!
This is a great product, I used a paint sprayer to apply for an even coverage. It is unnoticeable on light colours, however applying neat to my darker cupboard doors it completely dulled the navy. I had to repaint with another coat of navy on top of the lacquer and then mixed the lacquer with the navy paint (4:1 lacquer to paint ratio) to ensure the paint retains its vibrancy. That seemed to work ok. Dries very quickly too which is a bonus. Lesson learned, listen to the reviews regarding dark colours before purchasing!!

Tough finish
It’s formed a very tough surface. It’s clear although the finish is quite textured. I found it dried really quickly when putting it on which made it difficult to use but now I know I will apply more evenly and not go over the same areas. Will see how it performs over time but so far so good.

Terrible DO NOT USE ON DARK COLOURS
I upcycle a lot. I read the reviews and saw there was some negative comments, but as I use paint almost daily, I thought it could have been comments from less experienced users. .WRONG! I shook the can and then I stirred the lacquer for around 5/7 minutes before applying I painted my unit on Frenchic Jet Black, which is s flat matt, lovely colour. See photo 1. I used this lacquer and it completely changed the colour to a milky charcoal- see photos 2, 3 4 (close up wher I went over the edge) You can see in photo 3 how different the colour is I’ve had to repaint the unit. If you look at 6 and 7 you can see on the left where I have repainted and let to dry. The right of the photos show the massive colour difference being a milky charcoal I do not recommend this product at all. It’s awful and for the price, you can buy much much better for less money. The product should clearly state DO NOT USE ON DARK COLOURS, but it doesn’t. Just read all the other reviews.

No lustre
this is a good quality Acrylic varnish but should not be described as a Lacquer I have tried layers of this to create a deep shine using metalics and metal flake and it lacks the finish of a spirit based lacquer a good product but not what it says on the tin!

Extremely good product and works on dark colours and doesn't change them.
Amazing product. After reading all the reviews and some saying it changes the colour if used on darker shade I was a bit skeptical but decided to take the plunge and try it. So glad I did. I've painted my new chest of drawers a verydark bottle green in matt paint (three coats to get the right depth) then I applied this product when the paint had dried. I wanted a matt finished but with waterproof protection. It worked andim really pleased. It goes on white and dried clear. It's now got the matt finish I wanted but is easier to clean and repels water. I'm super happy and recommend this product. If I need more this is my go to product.

Lacquer - good quality, fast delivery and goes on easily
This lacquer feels good quality and goes on so easily with a brush. I found that putting it on with a roller did not go well as it seems to splatter spots everywhere. It does go on white but dries clear and quite quickly too. I have put 2 coats on the cupboard I've made but its not quite finished so cannot comment on how well it protects the mdf. I'm sure I will soon.
