By Far the BEST hair serum I've ever tried in my life!!! (Yes, its that amazing!!). I have thick, extremely dry, wavy course hair. I've gone through various Keratin treatments, hot oils, DIY remedies & relaxers for the past 10 years & its either made my hair more brittle or fall out. But Mixed Chicks products overall has been the answer for me SO FAR!! I just received it today & with the help of Carol's Daughter Mirabelle Plum's leave in conditioner, plus the right flat iron, my hair looks NATURALLY healthy, shiny, smelling great & super soft!! I cant believe it took me this long to find the right one & I haven't been this happy with my hair in years! Totally recommend it for those who have the same problem as myself. Buying in bulk as we speak!!! LOVE IT!!!

After reading the reviews I was very careful with the amount of product used. After a few attempts, I decided to increase the amount. Blow drying my hair after using a quarter sized dollop four times throughout my hair helped my short, fine, natural hair have a better look and feel.I am learning what my hair reacts well to. My hair did not blow dry bone straight, which I am ok with since this blow dry routine is followed up with flat ironing or hot curling. But it felt softer and straighter.My sister, who is a cosmetologist, commented on how healthy my hair appeared during one of our virtual meetings.I’m not a professional but this product is getting me one step closer to obtaining professional results. This product is enabling me to care for my hair myself.The feel of my hair after applying this serum and blow drying my hair made me smile. This is a keeper for my straightening routine.

I have nightmare hair. Cowlick, hair bump at the crown, a wave that defies gravity on one side, bangs that refuse to look like bangs. It's very fine (one stylist said I had hair like her 2 year old son, soft and fine) and wavy in the ugly way not the cute bouncy way some women have. My last attempt at calming it down was beeswax. Nothing works.I got this last week. I used it once, and I was surprised. Once I flat ironed it, it behaved. Being skeptical, I did everything I could think to mess it up. Walk the dog in humid weather, wear the hood on my coat, don't use hairspray. Nothing happened but a loss of a little volume. I slept on it and I didn't look like a zombie in the morning. Have I made my point? This worked.I used it again this morning, and same result. I am amazed.Now, I'm afraid I will end up allergic to it because it works so well.Here's some advice. If you are me, you have shoulder length FINE hair and you only need about two drops or the size of a dime. I can see that if you start with a lot, you aren't going to be happy. That small amount did not appear to be able to do this, but it did.If your hair is thicker or longer than mine, you might need a little more, but go easy until you find the right balance. From the comments I read, I suspect that some of those with poor reviews used too much. When you have unruly hair, it is hard to believe anything less than a gallon should work, but it does.Now the smell. It is strong. It is not citrus. It is a mix of herbal additives and it is a bit unusual. That is why I gave it 4 stars. I am sensitive to scents, and it takes some getting used to. But I decided it is worth it.Note to the Chix: If there is anything in this just for scent, could you reduce the amount used or make an unscented version? This is just my opinion but does everything NEED to have a scent just for scent?Good luck.

I love this serum. I used it to straighten my hair today (which worked great), but I love how my waves came out even before I straightened them today. No frizz for the first time in ages, just nice soft waves. I wish this were more available locally, but for now I'll buy here, and maybe find some way to buy it in bulk. (for reference on the texture of my hair, most people do call my hair curly, but I've learned from being in a couple curly hair groups that I'm actually in the wavy category, not curly)

Purchased for my future stepdaughter's hair. Her heritage is African American & Italian/European. She has very tight coils, approximately the diameter of a thin pencil. Due to her young age, (she's just turned 9) she has difficulty managing her hair. She is very active & very prone to frizz. We found that even with thorough application, it seemed to have little effect. The shampoo, leave-in conditioner, and deep conditioner were far more effective. The hair silk was better than the straightening serum but both were a bit light for her hair. I like them both for my straight/ slightly wavy hair, however.

I love everything about this product! The smell is citrusy, it’s light weight, controls the frizz, and cut my usual 30 minute blow dry time in half. Also, a little goes a long way so it lasts a long time.

I bought this product because I love their leave in moisturizing conditioner I purchased from them. I figured if that product worked so well this product would be the same! I was excited to use this from all the positive reviews I read as well. My hair is very long, thick and course. Unfortunately, I will not be purchasing this again. Probably one of the worst straightening serums I've bought. After using this my hair felt more course than before and my hair would constantly knot up. I found my hair was breaking off alot at the ends when using this and made my hair look very dry. Didn't seem like it protected my hair from the heat of the iron. I would not recommend this product if you're looking to get that straight/soft look after straightening your hair. I will be going back to my previous straightening serum.
