Made Of Sturdy Material
Jiffy peat pots are my favorite when transplanting seedlings into pots. They are always dependably made of sturdy material. Not so thin that they begin to fall apart after many waterings, like some of the competing pots do. Every year, I go back to Jiffy and I always buy them right here on Amazon because I find the best price here.

Peat pots
With all experimentation I do growing cuttings/seeds these are perfect to start them in and so much less traumatic for them when you need to transplant them.

Great product!
The pots are packed all in one big bag which overall is fine. It cuts cost keeping the product affordable. The only issue I saw was the pots must rub against each other during shipping creating dust. When you separate the pots that dust goes airborne. As a heads up it is better to open these outside to avoid that airborne dust.

Perfect for starter seedlings
These peat pots are perfect for my wife's garden. They are lightweight yet strong, and super easy to use. Just scoop in some organic garden soil, add a few seeds, cover with some soil, and add water. They warm up nicely outdoors which accelerates the germination process. After several weeks, just place the peat pot in the garden - no mess, no need to break apart the peat pots. We had some heavy rain and much to my wife's surprise, the peat moss pots did not fall apart - they were all intact and looked new.

These peaty pots are good
Excellent quality, great price, happy plants !If you grow a garden from seed (we do tomatoes and peppers that way), buy some of these pots. We start on an indoor growing table in the usual 72 cell seedling trays around the middle of February. Transferring to these pots finishes the plants when they outgrow the trays, and by May they're ready for direct planting in the garden. Be sure to carefully cut the sides and bottom so the roots aren't constricted in the pot when you plant, no need to remove the entire peat pot. The pots do break down nicely in soil but it takes longer than your plants would like. Bust the pots a little when you stick them in the garden and you will have happy, healthy little plants.

Great for starting plants
These pots were purchased 4/2/17 and used to plant seeds after the seeds germinated. They worked out very well. When the plants got larger, their roots were able to push through the pots (as they should) so I knew I could plant these directly in the soil. If you use them in a closed environment such as a container with a lid to hold in humidity, be sure to allow some fresh air to circulate often enough to prevent mildew or mold from growing. For transplanting, you can plant them directly in the ground or one could peel the pot away from the plant if you got the pot damp enough first. I plan to keep using these in the future.

Good price for short-term use
Pros: Good price for a basic peat pot. These are being used for a school marigold fundraiser, so we needed to be mindful of cost.Cons: Our order was short 10 pots. They were shipped in a plastic envelope without protective bubble wrap or other packaging so multiple pots arrived damaged. Not as sturdy as Jiffy pots - the edges break off easily, especially when damp.
