It doesn't have full SMART support and SMaRT said it was fine
Failed after about 90 days. 114 hours and 126 power cycles. 5 of the hours where me trying to figure out what was going on. It doesn't have full SMART support and SMaRT said it was fine. Almost no warning. About 5 hours from first failed boot to stone dead. I know how to set up an SSD. I've installed them in all my computers. This was my first and last experience with kingspec. If you're looking for something inexpensive Kingston drives never give me any problems.

Great little SSD for how cheap it is
Great little SSD for how cheap it is. I put one of these into a Dell Inspiron 1405 along with Win7 32 bit. I'm using about 11gb of space with 4gb free. I used RebootRestore from Horizon Data Systems to "freeze" the image, and I have a fast little laptop that works great to do basic things like surfing the web and Remote Desktop.

Great for ESXi
I purchased this for home ESXi (5.1) server, I was running ESXi from a regular spinning drive but the drive was starting to fail. Being aware that ESXi essentially runs in memory, I then ran ESXi from a USB thumb drive, but the boot times were slow, I also encountered a few PSOD, even after doing the recommend 'thumb drive tweaks'. So I went looking for a low capacity SSD SATA drive, and the KINGSPEC KSD-SA25.7 2.5" SATA-โ ข 2 CHANE SSD Solid State Disk (16GB) is just right, ESXi recommend >8GB. So, loaded up ESXi on it and it works great, no issues what so ever. It boots much much quicker than a USB thumb drive, and quicker than a spinning disk, however, the old hard drive was 5 years old. For a SSD the performance is at the low end, but if you have particular requirement such as I had it fits in nicely and costs peanuts.

UPDATE AFTER 5 YEARS+
UPDATE: In 2020 Amazon asked me to answer a question, then I realize that they are still selling this Kingspec 16GB SSD at about the same price as year 2014. Price was very competitive in year 2014 so I gave it a 5 star rating, but not in year 2020. After 5 years+ of light usage, it is still working . However, in 2019 I bought faster SSD with 240GB capacity for $34. This product just cannot compete with others now !

Good if speed is not an issue.
The SSD worked, it was just too slow for what I needed.

Well not the best, still worth considering for many reasons.
I received the updated version, that has a SATA-III ready controller. While the actual data throughput doesn't fully saturate even SATA-II (300MB/s sustained), the NAND flash speed is sufficient on write and very solid on read. The system I placed this on was previously booting from a USB 2.0 flash, and boot times have dropped significantly! SWAP RW is far faster under FreeBSD. This drive was purchased for a FreeNAS server running a large ZFS disk cluster. With 32Tb of disk space in the share I was seeing lag in transferring large files over CIFS via Samba, with the difficulty increasing for the server as time elapsed dropping as low as 30MB/s in some cases. With this SSD hosting the OS, the lag has essentially vanished and the ZFS "RAID" operational times have dropped to almost transparent, and I can max out the gigabit speeds at 120-130MB/s, which is definitely due to the lowered SWAP access time response. In my case, an inexpensive SSD was worth it over purchasing 16GB of DDR2 memory, which would cost more than the server's chassis! For situations where speed is needed but price is an issue, this is an excellent solution.

Bad product, failed after 9 days
Failed after exactly 9 days of light use as a boot disk with no caches and no frequent writes to the disk. Now is no longer being recognized by the system, so cannot format or use. All other disks were and continue to be, fine.
