This stuff is amazing! My pugs paws are already getting better.
This stuff is awesome. I started using it 2 days ago when it arrived. It has already started to heal both of my pugs dry pads. One of my pugs named Princess Leia started losing mobility in her back legs. She met w/the Neurologist here in Boise so we could determine what was going on. She had an MRI and spinal tap to rule out cancer & meningitis and it was determined she had a spinal stroke w/some spinal bruising a couple of months ago. She's been on bedrest for the last six weeks and starts physical therapy next week. I was worried because she is still slipping when she walks on our tile and wood floors even for the limited time she is out of her rolling kennel when she eats and to go out to the bathroom. I've ordered a bunch of different products to help keep her from slipping. I found some toenail grips that were just delivered that had good reviews but I haven't started using them yet. The mushers paw got here 3 days ago and I immediately started rubbing it onto Princess Leia's and our black pug Jax's pads. (I also rubbed some on Jax's nose because I've been using Chapstick on his nose for years but it's never worked great, it helps but not a ton). I can't believe how well this stuff is working. I didn't even realize that my dogs pads were so dry. I used an electric mustache trimmer to trim their paw / feet hairs. Then used the Dremel to file their nails down. After that I started massaging the Mushers Paw into their pads. It was quite relaxing because the smell has a nice scent that reminds me of mint and lavender or something. My dogs enjoyed the "foot massage" and let me do this for about 20 min each. Bits of their pads were crumbling off the first time I rubbed this stuff in. They were so dry they were cracking. I felt awful that I've never even known this was a thing. Within the first day I already noticed that Leia was walking better on the wood floors. Today is day 3, I've rubbed it on both of my pugs feet 2 times a day these first 3 days because I'm trying to hurry and get their feet healed especially to help Leia walk better. It's pretty incredible how much it's helping. She starts physical therapy in 4 days and I feel much more confident that she'll be able to do it as it seems she's already getting stronger since she's not slipping everywhere when she walks. Jax's nose is already better after 3 days then it was after months of rubbing chapstick on his little chapped nose. I would highly recommend this stuff. I never write reviews but I read them like crazy and especially since I've been researching to find things to help my pug walk better after her injury I'm excited to be able to spread the word that it's helping her already and it's helping Jax's cracked nose. I'm keeping this on his feet as well because after meeting w/the neurologist, it can be bad even when younger dogs slip and fall on wood floors so I want to help keep him from falling as much as possible. I'm going to keep reordering this stuff when it runs out. Thanks Mushers Paw! (PS: I'm telling my dogs Neurologist about it so she can share the info w/other pet parents looking for products to help in the dogs recovery).

Love this stuff
A friend told me about Musher's Secret and how it has been a help for her dog, so I decided to go all in and get a larger amount of it for myself. Definitely don't regret it, it has been very helpful for my dog when it comes to walking on the hot pavement. I have also seen significant improvement in his paw pads, he was a livestock guardian before I adopted him and his pads were very cracked and poorly managed and I found it difficult to fix, but now the cracks have gone away and they feel much softer when you rub your fingers across them. My intention on getting this balm was for pavement protection since he's now trained and working with me as a SD and goes everywhere with me, but I'm extra happy having seen it help out his paws in this way, and I'm sure he is, too. While my dog doesn't mind me playing with or holding his paws, he does pull back to try and avoid me doing things such as nail trimming or shaving the fur around his pads. Now having started using this balm fairly frequently, this does help build a positive routine towards easing that apprehension towards doing something to his paws. After we had used it consistently for a bit and I attached the word "butter" to the action of putting it on, I now ask him "want butter?" and he will perk up, head to his place mat, and roll over so I can easily get to his paws. I work with dogs professionally and have always recommended to dog owners to touch their pup's paws gently and frequently to help ease anxiety to make nail trimming and such easier, so I think using this is a nice extra step to that goal since you will be taking only a small amount and gently rubbing it into the pad. Basically a bonding experience with added benefits, which I will definitely be recommending going forward to dog owners with this problem. When applying the balm, I would recommend watching your dog for 5 or 10 minutes after putting it on to avoid them licking it off. While my boy will lick his lips when he smells it, he knows not to remove it, but I can definitely see many other dogs going for a taste as if its Cheetos dust on their fingers. But it's very easy to apply and doesn't take much, so it should last you a good while. Ovreall, I love it and feel I'm seeing benefits from it with my dog. Big thanks and definitely will get more whenever I eventually run low!

Wonderful product
Great product- helped heal my dogs paw pads. Protects and not harmful to dog if dog would lick paws. Good value for money. Easy to apply.

Give it a few tries
I have a 90lb German shepherd mix with sensitive pads in the cold. His pads have always seemed pretty dry and rough. First application I definitely didn’t rub it in enough even though I used an adequate amount. It’s either that or his pad soaked it all up. In my opinion I usually overdue things so I tried not to over apply. We have about 6 inches of snow with air temperatures in the single digits and windchill below zero my dog only lasted a few minutes outside like usual without boots. Second time I applied it and took him outside it was immediate that this stuff works and is showing promising results. I’m currently having to apply it every time I want to take him out, but I think eventually I won’t have to because I skipped one time and he was fine. He ran around in the snow for about 20 mins

Amazing product!
This product is amazing for ice and salt on the walkways! Prior to using I had tried booties for my two 10 pound shih tzus, which never stayed on. It was impossible to walk them because the salt and ice would make them cry and limp and I would end up carrying them home. Since using Mushers we are able to resume happy potty walks! I was very hesitant to try and now I cannot go without this product.

It's so good that even the dog loves to lick on it LOL. But in all seriousness, this is good quality paw balm. Helps keep those paw pads nice and soft. It smells good and it's a nice size packaging. We use it every day and still have half of it left after almost half a year. Definitely worth the price.

Prodotto eccellente!

This is very useless. Bought it for snowy mountain hikes, because dog shoes get wet in snow. The dog that needs paw protection had bleeding paws after 1 kilometer with this stuff on. Checked the paws and the wax was nowhere to be seen. Rubs off in like one minute. Don't fall for this.
