This cable works very well. A lightning extension cable from another vendor was always disconnecting. But this Ematetek has a solid connection. The cable is also of very high quality. Bonus that the package came with a small gift - a lucky charm 😁In addition, Ematetek’s customer service is top notch. They explained that the delivery was delayed due to covid19 challenges but assured me that the package was on it’s way. They also offered ways to keep me a happy customer. And they succeeded! Their communication is prompt, clear and gives a sense of confidence that they are an earnest seller. Not a fly-by-night. I would purchase from them again. I bought this to connect my iPhone 8 to an iHome clock radio because the radio had better speakers. Two cables lasted till mid July and I believe the issue is The cables and connectors war sin by plugging into my phone and unplugging because if I wiggle the cable sometimes it would work. Cheaply made typical Chinese junk.

Bought this to connect a usb camera/data reader to my ipad pro as it was awkward to plug the device in direct and I was worried about damaging the port of my ipad. This way the usb reader sits on the desktop and the cable connects comfortably between it and my ipad. So far works perfectly for reading and data transfers and seems very sturdy. I will update this review if any issues crop up, but so far I am very pleased with this.

Out of the box, the adapter appears to be sturdy and does function well, but after being exposed to moderate interior automobile temperatures the male lightning connector becomes loose and does not make a good A/V connection. I have purchased two of these cables, and both have lost connector rigidity causing the male connector to not work.

After repeated uses and over time it now disconnects pretty regularly if you tap it accidentally at the connection point on either end. Technically still works for what I need it to, but the disconnect can happen mid-recording which has been frustrating.

This cable works fine just for charging (although at low powers only), but the main problem is my USB camera kit that was connecting my iPad to my MIDI keyboard would not work with this extension, despite what you can read in the Q&A section.I even dissected it to see if it was missing wires to connect all leads, and it seems to include all 8 of them (see picture).This might have been something with my setup, but it definitely didn’t work for me.

Previously bought the one with the plastic cable and it became separated right at one of the connection points and quit working (probably because one of the wires broke) Have had this one for some time now. I use it in my car to have my iPhone on the windshield for GPS. Have had no issues at all. Hope it continues for several years. I like it.

I plug my iPad card reader into this and use this to view trail camera photos. I like that I don’t have to take the iPad’s protective case off. Without this I had to take iPad out of it’s case to use the card reader.
