just a little sad
I use to drink this as a child and loved it ..I saw it and bought it but the bottles got here broke... I contacted the company and they were ready to ship a new order ...free of charge of cause or refund me ...I took the refund because I was afraid the order gets here broke again ..so knowing the produce i give it 5 stars and how the company handled it also but I was sad that I couldn't sit in my yard drinking a cold karamalz

One Happy Husband His Favorite Childhood Drink in Germany
My husband was so exicted when he seen the Karamalz in the refrigerator. It was his childhood drink in Germany. He opened right away and took the first swig and the smile on his face was priceless. He could not believe I found it. I have ordered several times and delivery is quick with no broken bottles. He said this is the real deal. Placing another order in a few days.

Arrived Damaged
I am sure the item would have been tasty, however the box arrived damaged, the content leaking all over the inside of the bubble wrap and box and not much left other than sticky, shattered glass:/ I would not purchase the item again due to the lack of packaging.

Three Stars
Very tasty; however too expensive to order it on a regular basis.

HEALTHY AND DELICIOUS
I knew this product since 15 years from organic store in Taiwan. It is delicious and healthy drink.is it organic product?my coworker ordered it when I mentioned it. He is half Germany.I wish it is more popular in more store and more adv to show people to buy it.Costco of Taiwan carries it. But not in US.

It's Not Made In China
First of all, the "chinese section" of the label clearly states Taiwan (TW), not china. The Taiwanese section was added to allow EXPORT to Taiwan. In other words, it's still made in Germany. That said, the product has changed somewhat from what it used to be, even as recent as a couple years ago. It's now noticeably thinner, with no texture. It also seems to be less sweet, but it's hard to tell given the other differences. I actually prefer this new version, but my German mom (who I bought it for anyway) much prefers the original recipe.

Fell in love with Malta when I lived in Venezuela years ago
Fell in love with Malta when I lived in Venezuela years ago. In the US, all we can usually find is some sticky-sweet stuff loaded high-fructose corn syrup that's sorta-kinda like a real malta. This may come from Germany, but it's excellent. Slightly sweet, with a rich malt taste and lots of earthy overtones.
