Walkabout Travel Gear All-in-one Travel Adapter Plug with Surge Protector and USB

Easiest charger I have ever used, and the bonus was the built-in USB slot. I love travelling with my phone and an mp3 player, but loathe having to keep track of a mess of plugs and cables. With this, and a little forethought, I got away with one cable on my last trip. Just wish it was rated for hair dryers, but then very few of these are. My fix for that, since I was staying with friends who didn't own one, was to buy an in inexpensive dryer when I arrived (which was less money than the charger needed for my own), and leave it with them. Of course, if you're using hotels, most of them provide them. And I have yet to find a converter that allows you to use a flat iron, darn it!

Light weight and with the built in surge protector I did not have to worry about the increased voltage. IPad, phone, computer all charged with no damage. Excellent.

The adaptor portion for Europe/SE Asia is not long enough for the all to common recessed wall receptors. I had to purchase a three-way outlet splitter to plug into the recessed recepticle in order to plug the all-in-one adapter for my electronics. Other than that no issues.

This has not failed me yet. The only complaint I have is that it gets pretty hot when in use. I love that you can plug a USB cable directly into it!

We needed an adapter to travel to Turkey for a family with multiple iphones,ipad, ipod touch and the digital cameras. I was the usual procrastinator and needed it shipped right away. It came quickly and performed flawlessly over 3 weeks. The USB outlet was especially helpful for a piggyback charge. I would not hesitate to recommend this to any traveler with today's gadgets.

Absolutely terrific design and execution. I have been using it nonstop since it arrived. Looking forward to the versatility it will give on my R&R trip and my trip back home after deployment.

The socket blades do not fit tightly into any of the electrical sockets that I tried using making it difficult to use.

Great for USB charging but can't figure out how to use it for a curling iron, etc.
