Allary Chalk Cartridge Set

I love how easy it is to use. Works well for sketching out a picture as the chalk doesn't affect the paint. In my case it's acrylic paint. It was worth the money to me.

I use this with some chalk paint in order to mark my spice bottles and actually it works out very well for that.Granted, the chalk sticks are a little brittle but then again, what else would you expect from chalk? And the little sharpener works about as well as any of those hand sharpeners do (which is to say, not wonderfully) but, again, that's just such a universal complaint (I've lost a fortune in eyeliner to those things alone) that I can hardly blame the company for it.That being said, there are enough replacements that I don't have to worry about that for a while and the colors are nice and bright.

I’m pretty new to sewing, and was annoyed with using pencil on fabric to mark out lines or patterns, so I got this. The chalk works great, and the different colors are really useful. The white chalk has held up better, but somehow I have managed to break almost all of my colored sticks in half. Not sure how. But, they are still useable! I definitely recommend. The chalk goes easily on to fabric and comes off easily. The holder means not getting chalk on your hands!

Every chalk refill was broken when it arrived. It will still function, but there will be a little more waste. The chalk lines are very thin, which could be a benefit or a weakness depending on your needs. The eraser on the end works amazing and is a really cool feature. Switching between colors is a bit annoying, but I don't think it is worth buying a separate pen for each color. Not bad for the money overall

Ok, I am going to address the handful of issues the other users mentioned here. Regarding my knowledge of usage and materials behavior: I paint, I draw, I sketch, I sew, I bead, I do paper quilling and stained glass, have worked with wood much, and do/tinker with/or spend much time doing several other arts, crafts and playing music. For the past 40 years. So that goes to say I can tell the difference in quality of most arts and crafts products, and have acquired a large inventory of products over the years, in variety and purpose.Regarding this one:A: Only the WHITE sticks are actual CHALK. The colored sticks are the same material as coloring pencils lead, of the waxier type.B: IF you are looking to mark fabrics with the colored sticks but want the markings to disappear, DO NOT use this product. As I stated in A, the colored sticks are waxy. The markings will not wash off. You're better off using the kids' sidewalk chalk, or the regular sized colored chalk from Crayola, or Rose Art, or whatever generic brand chalk. I have had no problems marking my fabrics with these, including my wedding dress.C: Regarding the breakage. Keep only about a quarter of an inch (or about 7mm) of the chalk's tip exposed. This will maintain the pressure fulcrum supported inside the cartridge. Same concept as with mechanical pencils and with regular wood pencils: If the tip is too long, it will break when you put pressure on it with your hand and try to slide it across the surface. And some people (like me) use naturally more pressure than others to write.D: The white chalk looks great, just like regular size chalk, on the blackboard, for smaller, detailed designs, writing, etc.E: the pencil sharpener that comes with it works great! It sharpens the sticks to the perfect size. Be careful not to introduce the stick too far into the sharpener or it will break at a point where the most pressure is being applied (usually a slight curve created by the twisting/turning). Chalk is not meant to curve, at all! The waxy tips may have a little curve-tolerance, but still very little at shorter lengths. Hope this helps.

Muy práctico

Me gusta el diseño pues las gredas cuadradas no siempre hacen un fino trazado y estas puntas tienen un saca punta especial.Lo malo? Todas las tizas vienen rotas,pero pueden usarse aunque sea en pedazos .Deberían usar burbuja en el empaque y cuidar ese detalle.

Son exactamente como en la descripción. Desafortunadamente a mí no me sirvieron pues las necesitaba para dibujar patrones en fieltro y para eso no sirven.

Muy buen producto, lástima que algunos repuestos llegaron rotos, sugiero al fabricante mejorar el empacado y a los de logística etiquetado de FRAGIL!

I received these from Amazon. The chalk was all broken. I like them for marking guilt projects.
