English print, fine. Urdu, not so good
The Urdu is very difficult to read. I saw a previous review and just put it down to individual vision, but even with good reading vision I am unable to read the majority of the Urdu words. So why not fewer stars?Because there is transliteration available, and there is a good number of entries. With regards to entries, I think it would help if they had displayed the number of entries in the introduction like other dictionaries do.Speaking of introduction, there is no instruction on abbreviations for grammar and language derivations (which language the word originated from). It's helped me enormously in some academic work I've undertaken, however, I will be purchasing Kitabistan by Bashir Ahmad Qureshi in the near future in sha AllahAll in all, the dictionary is okay.

Best dictionary for Urdu speaders learning English
This dictionary is among the earliest of its kind. Abdul Haq is an authority in Urdu language and has tremendious command over the English too. Learners of both languages surely will find this dictionary extremely helpful for its clear cut explanations and abundant usage examples. I think you wont need any other dictionary alongwith it for furthering your learning.

Extremely comprehensive
This dictionary is a must-have for all those who need to translate texts from Urdu into English. I definitely agree with the first review about the legibility issues, I admit I scarcely use the English to Urdu half as the nasta'liq text is too tiny, but the Urdu-English part is invaluable, extremely comprehensive. Kudos to Dr. Abdul Haq. All of the Urdu entries in the Urdu-English part provide roman transliteration for each word written in nasta'liq, which is a big plus for me. Whenever I need to translate a word from Urdu into English I know that I'll find it right there.
