Found a brilliant alternative use
Can't really say how these work as a money clip. I'm using these as clips for my seatbelt at work. Sewed them into my vest pocket. Looks like a pen but works like a seatbelt clip. Keeps the seat belt off my neck which is safer. Got so sick of adjusting it 100 times a day. I love that they pop open easily if I forget to remove the seatbelt from the clip when I take it off.

They work great!
These are solid pieces and are holding up very well. I've made several wallets and used these clips with zero problems. They hold the folding money securely, are adjustable if the stack gets that large and they're easy to stitch around. I've bought several packs and will likely be buying more very soon. There may be better, cheaper clips out there but I found these first and see no reason to look any further.
