Super crunchy, tasty, satisfying, organic and gluten free!
This is the best cold cereal I have ever had. I like crunch in general, especially crunchy crunch, and in cereal, I like crunch that lasts even after you add the milk.No gluten, no pesticides, no herbicides, no any 'cides. Comes in a nice, big bagful, lasts me a long time. Very little sugar (4g added, 5g in all, per cup of dry cereal).Only downside is, it's a little TOO good for me to keep my low-carb discipline--I want to eat it and then eat some more. Very bad--of *me*, not the cereal. BTW, I've tried a few other varieties of Mesa Sunrise--for me, this is the winner, hands-down.One thing about Amazon's packaging, though: I was chagrined when the cereal arrived in a plastic Amazon mailer, rather than inside the more protective box with the other items I'd ordered to arrive the same day. I figured I'd open it only to find a bag of crushed cereal. However, I guess the flakes are so tough they could withstand whatever happened to them en route, as I only see evidence of crumbs at the bottom of the Mesa bag itself--the rest of the cereal looks uncrushed.Still, Amazon peeps, while I appreciate your efforts to reduce packaging in general, at least when customers have ordered other items you are boxing, please consider packing the Mesa cereals inside the boxes, not separately in plastic mailers.

Good tasting cereal (for food without flavor enhancing ingredients); gluten-free; reasonably-priced
Nature's Path Organic Mesa Sunrise cereal is now on my subscribe and save. It tastes good, is gluten free, and is crunchy, which I like, and most importantly does NOT have the flavor enhancer chemical, "natural flavor" which is added to so many foods. I'm sensitive to natural flavor, which chemically mimics MSG, so I avoid it. I avoid products with "natural flavor"/MSG in the ingredients because it gives me headaches and puts me in a bad mood without me realizing it until the MSG/natural flavor has worn off. My symptoms after ingesting natural flavor chemical are dose-dependent but amounts are not listed in ingredient lists so I just try my best to avoid natural flavor altogether. MSG is bad for the brain also, so I like this cereal because I don't feel guilty letting my kids eat it. A small portion of the cereal was crushed even though it came packaged without other items, but that's a delivery issue and not a product quality issue. The box has to ship all the way to across an ocean so maybe it got thrown around from the warehouse to the truck or got tumbled around on the plane, etc.
