The Velveteen Principles for Women: How to Shatter the Myth of Perfection and Embrace All That You Really Are

For over a year I saw this book on the shelf in my local book store and it was calling to me but I firmly ignored it. Last fall however I finally gave in and purchased it. I have to say that it gave me a boost in a way that I needed at that time in my life. I continue to go back and re-read sections when I need a reminder. I have since purchased it for many other women in my life and passed my copy on to many others who in turn have "passed it on" also. Being real is what we all strive for and Toni hits the mark in this book.

Excellent book. If you, or someone you know, must always present themselves as perfect...their personal appearance, their house, their spouse and children, etc., ...then this is a book for you or them. It gives the cause and a way to a solution. I've bought one for myself and several others to give away.

Great book..thought me alot. Strongly recommend this book for young women who struggle to acheive perfection with persistent feelings of inadequacy. This will help you to be true to yourself and not worry about "other ppl's opinions" .

the velveteen rabbit is my best favorite book. i guessed anything associated with it had to be good. i learned more about being a women than in anything i've read . all women should read it. you will find yourself in it.

because ther were no problems. It arried when expected and I like it oh bother with the seven more words required. YOU NEED TO READ THE BOOK AND GET REAL

Would have been lovely if they had used a good quality papers for this book!The quality of the paper is awful! It’s thin and would go bad if you use highlighter.

Kind of boring and repetitive. The regular velveteen rabbit principles is much meatier.

I love this book. It's really helpful and positive. I will re-read it many times.
