Good brand of baked beans if you like the sweet thick type
A bit to thick and sweet for us but many people I know like this honey flavored beans we prefer the vegetarian or onion flavored ones due to less of a sweet taste. Bush baked beans is a good brand.

Two of the Three Cans shipped to me were Dented
I dislike that two of the three cans sent to me were dented. Frankly I'm tired of receiving dented cans and wish Amazon would do something about this problem. I'm surprised that nothing has been done due to all my complaints, and I'm sure complaints from other shoppers. I don't eat items that are in dented cans due to the fact that the food inside could be compromised.

We eat a lot of these beans haha
Since the pandemic started I haven't really had the energy to soak and cook my own beans, these beans in particular black beans from bush's are my number one pick. Not sure that I cook them the way that other people cook them because my grandma always said you're not making beans unless it takes 2 days. I open the can for the contents into the pan and put a half a can of water in turn the heat on medium and reduce the water until the beans are nice and soft and the soup is nice and dark. They are super tasty that way

Good Baked Beans
I like to add seasonings to just about all baked beans. Otherwise, for me they're bland. This Bush's onion variety benefits from additional onion powder or minced onions. Adding a little mustard gives it some zip. A small spoonful of molasses adds a touch of sweetness that I really like.

The best canned black beans
I use a lot of canned black beans and after trying many other products, these are the only ones I buy now. The color of the beans is uniform and pleasantly black. More importantly, there are very few broken, split beans so they look great served in a salad or side dish. The texture is creamy, not grainy. The taste is good. btw, I always drain the beans before using them.

If you're planning on making Black Bean soup for the first time, try these
A few things I like about these black beans. One, no soaking overnight and two, the flavor. How to make black bean soup?1 ham picnic bone1 gallon of spring water purified ok1 yellow onion choppedSimmer your ham bone for 2 hours then remove and cut the rest of the meat off. Put your meat back in the broth and put 4 cans of Bush's black beans1 can of diced tomatossimmer 1 more hourAdd 2 tablespoons of cumin1 tablespoon kosher salt2 tablespoons of black pepperFor spicy add 1 tablespoon of cayenne pepper or 3 or 4 pickled whole but split jalapenos

A bit too sweet, IMHO, but good as a side dish
I try all sorts of foods and sometimes I yearn for some Southern cooking. These beans ended up tasting a bit too sweet, that it almost tastes like dessert, albeit a low-sugar dessert. Beans are nice sized and don't seem broken, and they taste okay otherwise. Works okay as a side dish for your other foods.

California Prop 65
I have previously purchased both the dark and light red kidney beans, and neither had a California Proposition 65 warning.Recently, when I tried to re-purchase, I was given the warning. This makes me feel as though either the prop changed or the ingredients changed. Either way, the warning is present, and it is enough for me not to purchase this in the future.

Bush's
Like Bush's from my days in the USA, so pleased I can get them in the UK, cheaper than flying out to get them.

I was rather disappointed. They're tasty enough
I was rather disappointed. They're tasty enough, but a little sweet for me and not much bacon, so didn't have the bacon taste I was after.

What baked beans should taste like.
A taste of the good old USA. I love these beans, they make all others seem like a pale imitation. Absolutely delicious. They should be sold in supermarkets. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Truly a good product for real Baked Bean taste
It's an American thang! Boston Baked Beans. Not the Heinz boring bean stuff. But good American taste that reminds me of home.

Too sweet, insufficient label info.
The ingredient list shows “sodium” without specifying if it is sodium nitrate. I’m allergic to nitrate. No time limit shown after opening. Like most American beans it’s likely to be GM.
