Mag and Mag Plus Indoor Bike Trainer, Magnetic Resistance, Compatible with Zwift App

The Saris was easy to assemble and connect to my wife's bicycle. The special adaptors fit perfectly, and the bike is very stable in the mount. The bike doesn't need any drilling or permanent modifications which will change the bike; the adaptors can be removed without doing any damage. The magnetic pedaling force works well, and it is easy to change the force by using a lever attached on the handlebars. In the Spring, it will be easy to disconnect the Saris from the bike so my wife can ride her bike outside.

The trainer is well built and solidly made. The assembly was simple with the included instructions. The cable adjustments for the resistance was a bit confusing but if followed the adjuster worked as designed. Once assembled my road bike with 700 tires fit well and it was a stable riding platform. The one complain I have is that the resistance adjustment offers very little resistance if any at all. I contacted the manufacture and was told that the function of the magnetic resistance would not supply the level of resistance I was looking for and would need to get the resistance through my bike gearing. They recommended that I switch to one of the fluid trainers. I have used other manufactures trainers that offer a real resistance with an adjustable magnetic system. I was looking for a trainer that I could use in lieu of a smart trainer by making resistance adjustments manually. I returned the unit and purchased a smart wheel on trainer.

It gets its job done. But, hard to build (at least for me), instructions don’t have great pics, video online have different directions. It’s a hustle to put it together honestly. And parts that are suppose to go together nice and easy, simply don’t. But looking at the other prices for other trainers… this is decent.

I like the Saris, it works well, sturdy and strong for my bike. This was a good purchase, however.... do not waste your money upgrading like I did for the shifter, that is pointless. But again, it's a solid indoor bike stand, no tipping, no scratching of the floor.

Not useable with rear wheel motor ebike's, due to the wire running through the axle or the ebike and the need to replace the rear axle skewer with a stronger one. 5* given for regular standard bike use, which it looks perfect for.

Good for indoor cycling. Minimal noise. It builds some resistance - not much. I had to get tools and a quick release hub to install.

This is a perfectly good basic, non-smart, non-electronic bike trainer. It holds the bike upright and you can pedal with resistance for exercise or training. However, putting "Compatible with Zwift" in the description is basically a lie. You could buy a 20 yr old trainer for $20 from a garage sale and it will be just as "compatible." This trainer has no electronics at all. It does NOT integrate with any app in any way at all. You have to provide your own bluetooth speed sensor to use any training app. I am debating whether to return and spend more money on a "smart" trainer that is actually compatible with Rouvy/Zwift/etc apps, or keep this and use it as is. Two stars because it works fine for what it is and is solidly built, but I expected some ability to work with a training app, as stated in the description.
