Okuma ROX Spinning Combo (Medium)

Very nice inexpensive rod and reel combo. Used it for fishing while on vacation down in Florida. Caught lots of 5-10lbs saltwater fish on it, no troubles with it. The line that came with it seem pretty decent not sure the poundage but good enough. Would've given it five stars except for the reel had a 2 screws that rusted right away, just surface rust. Rod and reel was thoroughly rinsed after every use and we were not on a boat was fishing from a pier and from land in a canal, so not much saltwater ever got on the rod and reel. All in all I am very pleased with the purchase and would buy it again.

Great product for the price! Didn't expect much because of price but was quite surprised.

I believe I received a defective rod because the top snapped off by the second cast. Simple hook and light sinker, so it wasn't because of the weight. Was pretty shocked that it snapped but I probably received a damaged product. I sent it back to Amazon for a refund.3 stars because I own another Okuma ROX and it hasn't broken and it is actually a very good rod. The action is great (more light-medium than medium), and the feel of the rod is very nice. The reel is smooth. There is some cork on this rod, but it is pretty small and not really great feature on this rod.A con for the ROX is that the line that comes pre-spool with this combo is terrible. I'd recommend that you change the line out.

I moved back and forth between 3 and 4 stars on this. Honestly it is probably a 3.5 for me. From a cost perspective, it was hard to beat as a gift for my son in law who is just starting to fish.I use higher end gear and as I would expect, this doesn't have the sensitivity nor backbone that I am used to. The real is quiet, but a little heavier than I would prefer.

Wow for the price this thing is awesome. I was worried about quality for the price. Let me tell ya don’t be fooled. This rod reel combo is of great quality. I wouldn’t expect nothing but perfection from Okuma. I have had many of cheaper and expensive combos and I seem to be using this more then my other spinners. I use this for anything that’ll be dumb enough to bite my line. Thinking about picking up a 6’6” combo as well since I already have the 7’ med.

This is a solid combo that can't be beat for the price. I've been using this regularly for three years and have caught bass, catfish, crappie down to bluegill. I oil the reel each season and replace the line and have never had any issues reeling in anything. The rod is medium / light and sensitive enough to feel small fish. I've also set this up with an alarm and pulled in some decent sized blue cats. That being said, if your looking to reel in a 30 pounder, look elsewhere.

I'm sure the rod and reel combo would have been fine but the rod arrived broken. I did buy the used "acceptable" version. Lesson learned...

It's a great fishing rod. Casting with the reel is really smooth and it'll cast decently far. I've caught some pretty heavy fish on it and it holds up really well.

Used the rod a couple of times, like it has a good back bone for the small bass I catch. Reel is not great though clunky and feels cheap.

desgraciadamente el producto me llego quebrada de la punta no trae la ultima anillade lo demás se mira bien es solo eso me tocara mandarla a reparar ya que no podre hacer la de devolución del equipo por falta de experiencia en la plataforma.

muy bonito combo, ya viene con línea precargada y es muy ligera, no es una caña de lujo ni puedes usar línea trenzada por el recubrimiento de los arillos pero con un mono filamento de buena calidad es una muy buena opción para salir los fines de semana a disfrutar de la pesca.

Excelente artículo, llegó en excelentes condiciones, se demoró un poco el envío pero en lo demás todo bien. El carrete es 3000
