Small but will work

The product itself feels more sturdy and better made than Ant Canada's vertical Omni nest which I was disappointed in and was much more expensive than this little nest. While I love the farm the problem with it is the smaller ants like the Pheidole megacephala and the Colobopsis impressa escape easily through the floor part where the rubber bands hold it on meanwhile larger ants like some Camponotus wont use the nest part because it's too tight and cramped. I don't know what species they expect people to use in them? May have to alter to be functional sadly.

It seems to be well made, and was easy to put together. No fault of the manufacturer, but don't try to put smaller ant species in this. My crematogaster smaller workers were able to shimmy out the cracks and have a wander around my desk.

My son and I love putting this together. Directions were a bit tricky. Definitely more for teens.

Yup, should of trusted the reviews. This is a waste of money. Does not seal, it is Extremely TINY.
