Q: Are the earrings clip ons?

Yes. They are plastic . None of the excessories are made sturdy. All of them broke within the first month. She loved the dress.

Q: How does this fit? I want to get it for my soon to be 4 year old. They only have 3t and 6/7 available.

Our granddaughter was 9 when we ordered this and we ordered a size 8. It fit her perfectly and was well made. I don't know if the 3T would be too small, but if you were ordering it for a "one-time" event, like we were, then you might be fine. Wish I could include a picture. We got a wig on Amazon that was perfect for this costume. Good luck.
