The right side for you bike they come in diferent sizes
So far everything is good , i like the fact that you can lock it when not riding on a bumpy areas it improve the pedaling almost as a hardail , other than that it feels good , i use to have a fox float w out rebound and it use to feel so bumpy even when pedaling on smooth areas , now with the RL , it have rebound set up so it work nice smooth and less bouncy i am Happy with it ..

RL smooth
I installed RL on my 2001 GT idrive 3. What a difference. The shock was an easy install. Adjustable air pressure, finger flick lockout. Overall my idrive 3 is smooth on and off the road. The lockout make pedaling uphill a breeze.

I HATE ROCKSHOX PRODUCTS, BUT I LOVE THIS MONARCH RL !!!!!
After 1000 miles this past year, biking in the mountain ranges spurring off the Cascades in snow and in dry summer, this thing has been perfect. No signs of wear, locks out good (after it broke in after 100 miles of riding it locking and unlocking it as frequently as possible). Lockout is flakey before the break in period, but this is normal for all shocks have to break in. This thing is loaded on a near mint, rebuilt 2004 Giant NRS and a second going into a 2014 Anthem. Smooth as butter, this thing is, as it is plush, or fast as you want it to be. Great product. Cannot say the same for other Rockshox products, though.

Not for novices
Great product but had to buy a few extras to install it properly like an installation hardware set and a caliper to measure my installation hardware size.

replaced a old coil over.
this works awesome and is 1/2 the weight of a coil over, make sure you measure the spacers perfectly, yook me a few tries to finally get the right one. probably gonna have to replace front and rear spacers, I did and a lil filing was involved for a perfect fit

Good budget option
Seems like a good air shock option, but have not had enough hours on it to determine if it will hold air in the long run. Using it as a replacement for my Fox Air Vanilla which came has been leaking air for a long time but they no longer make the or sell the maintenance kit per Fox representative.

Came quickly, easy to mount, just great for me
Seems to work very well. My other was old and needed a rebuild, but I chose to get a new one.
