This is an incredible anchor. I replaced a 14 lb. Danforth style anchor with this one. My boat is 36 overall and a heavy 36 at that. This anchor holds extremely well in sand and mud. I have not used it on a rocky bottom yet. I would recommend this anchor to anyone with a large boat that wants more holding power without needing a crazy heavy anchor.

I’ve a 38’ trawler about 15k lbs. I’ve hah this exact anchor for several years now and when I wanted to replace my heavy stern anchor, this was the logical choice.

Best dam ancor
I've been using a fortress FX7 anchor for a stern anchor at raft ups for years. Works as all the tests say. I lost my bow plow anchor due to a worn turnbuckle (MY FALT) I replaced it with a fortress without a second thought I did get the next size larger recommended though (my own decision)
