These would be nice on a small table or shelf but not large enough to play with and I would say a hazard for small children.

I was looking for a nativity play set to have in my pre-k classroom. I liked all of the pieces to this set. The price was reasonable. (The Fisher Price ones were really expensive). The only negative I have about this is how small the pieces are. I have some students who are still very oral and I am a bit worried about them putting them in their mouth and choking on them. I definitely would not recommend this for children under 3 or 4. I also noticed that my students did not realize this was Baby Jesus (which is about the size of the tip of my thumb). I don't know if they are missing the background knowledge (which is unusual at my school) or perhaps the features of the characters are a little vague. The pieces did get dropped (many times) today onto the tile floor and so far have not broken. I had another resin set for several years and it did not survive my class last year.

This set is really cute. I got it to do a 12 days of Christmas nativity thing…so I don’t have time to return and get a new one. Mary’s nose came broken off, so that is disappointing. I will just have to super glue it on.

I was looking for something that my granddaughter, age 4, could play with and not break. This is a cute little set and we were able to take it with her to church to keep her occupied on Christmas. I loved it too and plan to put it out every year. It is small but that is what I was looking for.

This nativity scene is so cute! Having said that, I expected this to be a little larger than what it is. It’s VERY tiny, like choking hazard tiny. We bought it thinking it would be an appropriate decoration for our toddler to interact with since it’s described as a “kids nativity”. She’s played with it once for a short time and the wing on the angel has already broken off. Holding the tiny figurines, you know that they aren’t going to survive being jostled an awful lot or dropped on a solid surface, though so we kind of expected it. I wouldn’t say that it’s made for a lot of handling. So if you’re looking for something a little more interactive, this may not be the best option.

Perfect gift for my 3 year old to remind her the true meaning of Christmas. (Before I knew it all her favorite cartoons had planted Santa and toys as the reason for Christmas. Santa is fun, but one morning of telling her the Christmas story with this set and she understood it was about the birth of baby Jesus.) I searched high and low for a little nativity set for her last year with no luck. Everything was overpriced, too cartoonish or didn't have all the characters. This set is beautiful and didn't break the bank at just $17.99. Next year I am going to put the pieces in an advent calendar.

I had a wooden Advent calendar with 24 drawers to fill. Here and there throughout the days I placed one of the figures in one of the drawers. The creche itselt was kept separate and is being filled as the figures appear. The baby Jesus is so so small that I didn't want it to get lost or missed as I had other items like miniature trees etc. so I placed him in a very tiny decorative box to be opened on the 24th.

This shouldn’t be marketed for children. It’s TINY. To be fair, the listing did say “miniature” and clearly I should have paid more attention to reviews. But Baby Jesus barely covers my finger tip. That’s much too small. Still, it’s an attractive nativity, with handmade looking cuts to the pieces. My four year old will enjoy it fine, but I wouldn’t recommend if you gave toddlers in the house.
