I like it. Like many have said, it could be brighter, but it is fine so long as you have other lighting options. I do wish the app was better and you could program it to alternate two or more colors instead of just the rainbow setting. Also the orange color is pretty weak, as in bad, and doesn't look good. I do plan to buy some more, so go figure.

I bought two of these for a set of tabletop lamps I got for my L-shaped desk and I am really happy with them. I had another brand smart bulb that I paid more for that doesn't match the brightness of these two and I barely use it anymore. These are great little bulbs and are cheap enough that you could put a couple in every room of your house (they support grouping). My only complaint is that they aren't usable with Amazon Echo, that would make it 6 stars.Update 6/8/17: These bulbs are starting to fail. It seems that if you leave them on white light at full power for more than a few hours the bulbs get so hot the Bluetooth radio fails and the app cannot detect them. This happens on both Android and iOS.Update: 6/19/17: These bulbs are pretty much useless. 80% of the time the app can't detect them. I'll never buy another MIPOW product.

I originally had connection issues and was disappointed but I went into the settings in the app and did a factory reset on the bulb and it connects all the time right away now(if anything changes I will update). I mostly bought this for the candle effect. I wanted to relax in my living room with my choice of warm color and relaxing music. I wouldn't trust this as my main light. I just wanted something cheap to relax to. The candle effect does work it's just not worded very clear. Anyways I couldn't recommend tgis for a non tech savvy individual because it seems their is some trouble shooting that not everyone can figure out but to save some money if your need is not that important this should do.

Update: I had a couple bulbs go on their own program and flicker like a power surge. It was annoying and I had to remove the bulbs and get replacements. As much as I like the bulbs, getting replacements was about as easy as bathing a bobcat. I did get them and found out the Apple app is more effective than Android, but the app is still faulty. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied and with Christmas coming up, I have a new way to decorate!I was just given one of these bulbs as a gift. I have a brain injury and bright lights give me a massive headache. I like that the one bulb I have can be set on red and softer colors. I have a majority of my house set up to be neutral and relaxing. I just ordered 2 more for my room to go with my Innogear oil diffuser and LBell Wave projector (with speaker). I'm hoping that with the addition of the other two that my room can be chilled.The app PlayBulb X needs some work though. It's a minimal type app and seems way too basic to be a licensee of Apple. Also, I think the app should be revamped as well as updated to work with the functions available for each product. It doesn't make sense that I click on the bulb and it has a sound setting. Update the App and I'll add a star.

I can't exactly say how long I have had this light bulb but it has for sure been almost 2 years. After using it every day for both regular lighting and its featured RGB lighting in my bedroom I have come to find all PROS and CONS with it.PROS--A very cost effective alternative to most other RGB lights.-It has an app that is easy to use-It fits the bill for having most of the RGB spectrum-Has a great life span, it still works and it was purchased in MARCH of 2016-Works as if its a normal light when turned on and off through the light switch-Great for turning your light on and off without getting out of bed-Great for "setting the mood"CONS-Has a yellow tinted white light (this is when using the whitest color)-The app along with bluetooth wont detect the bulb sometimes making you have to turn on and off your light switch a few times to help it detect it-The app has multiple features literally do nothing when attempting to activate (candle light feature)-The app really only changes the colors on what I would call a limited RGB spectrum (this is in part to the next con) along with only a RGB fade feature-The limited RGB spectrum, as I call it, is basically when the light is not vibrant enough on certain colors to actually differ that selected color from another selected color. In other words colors do not always have a 1:1 match from the color you choose on your phone to what shows on the light bulb.SUM IT UPI would recommend this light bulb to anyone and everyone but specifically to people who want a little spice to their light. It makes simple things more simple like turning on or off your light without even lifting your body out of bed, it allows for dim lighting without having joe shmoe comming and installing a dimmer, and lastly it makes making your light matching the color of your wicked cool RGB setup like a piece of cake. This is cheap but I recommend a more powerful bulb for possibly more vibrancy but aside from that it does its job and pretty good at that.

CONS.Well, it took me a while to find the app and get it to start because it has a different name than the name it recommends on the box . You need 2 for a small room (not bright enough). I would not buy it for 19.99. The app is glitchy and dose not connect to the bulb at times . One of the modes dose not even work (Candle effect).There are better ones that come with a Bluetooth speaker built-in the bulb for little more I might just try that.Pros.It arrives before expected time.It's small and very easy to install (hardware wise).Very light.Can be improved massively if they get a new app and made brighter.

The app on your phone is very nice and easy to use and have neat features. Yet the bulb itself is not as bright as i would think. When the light has no colour it is bright yet when changed to a colour it isnt as bright. For the price it is still worth it and better than a Philips hue as you dont need another device to connect it to your phone.

These are okay - nothing special. They are great in the dark but during the day provide little light.They also die quickly. Both of mine no longer connect via Bluetooth and they are less than 2 months old.If you want them for night ambiance - then do it - but if you also want them for practical lighting I would find a better brand.

Good!Pros:- really nice vibrant colors (all of them!)- super fast connection- remembers mode it was in after you turn it off and on again- decent non-color light (bright enough, nice warm white)Cons:- a bit dull (solved it by using two of them for the ceiling)- app is OK at best. Very basic. Shame, because it's a very nice lamp hardware-wise. Still does its job decently with color selection

Don't waste your money on this product. I bought 3 of these and they no longer work after 4 months (one stopped working at 3 months). They don't even connect to the app anymore, the app can't detect them. Was nice while it lasted. Contacted the company but they they were not at all helpful.

The app for the bulb is Playbulb X. It does not detect anymore. It had a year of use and now it is a regular led light bulb. DO NOT BUY! Spend some more on a better qualified bluetooth led bulb.

Surprisingly quick when they connect to the app. Very bright when they're white. Not as bright when they're in colour mode but they're still vibrant and much brighter than a bulb I have from a different seller. Looks great in photos. Highly recommended.

do not use this for anything important like a living room light its more for a lamp if you like rainbows the fastest feature through out the colour fade is still really slow

Great light! the app connected almost instantly and it's really fun to play with the different settings and colors. Also it would make a great little gift.

Worth the extra money. Great build quality. The app could be a little better but still one of the best out there.

Nice to have a colours bulb. But I wish it was brighter... on the plus side it's cool to the touch and has lots of effects to play with
