Pariah

For a low budget indy film, Pariah does a good job of getting the story across. The acting is decent, the characters interact like a gang and the movie kept me interested from beginning to end. YES, I think American History X is a better made film (with 50 times the budget I might add) and YES I've seen Romper Stomper several times. To be honest, with the exception of Russel Crowe's outstanding performance, I never thought Romper Stomper was a very good movie. Romper Stomper is sloppy, loud and all over the place and for those reasons I enjoyed Pariah a lot more. Pariah has focus, it tells a tight story, the characters are interesting and there are some very sexy skin girls to look at along the way (something most of these movies are sorely lacking). My all-time favorite "punk gang" movie is still Suburbia but Pariah will definately be rewatched and enjoyed (with the exception of the rape scene which is very graphic and disturbing). If I had one major issue with the movie it would be with the lead actor who seeks revenge. He was almost TOO angry and brooding and his character really got on my nerves. It's hard to feel sympathy for a character you despise. Still a good movie and a great effort for such a low budget.

Boring

After surviving a brutal attack by a gang of Skinheads, our mainline "Hero" decides to avenge his girlfriend's suicide (a result of the attack where she was gang-raped) by infiltrating the gang as a fellow Skinhead "Brother." Eventually, he fits into the Gang and is able to seek his revenge upon the animals who changed his life.Was I shocked by the film's content? Nope. Was I impressed by it's production originality? Nope. Was the film's message worthwhile? I was already familiar with the act of revenge and the back-and-forth nature of retailiation.Strangely enough, I was drawn into the story and was thoroughly engrossed in the storyline. Am I ashamed that I liked the film? Maybe a little...

The first thing I sensed was a made for TV movie feel... The budget was low and the story was a little campy and inconceiveable. Then the movie grew on me. It was very entertaining despite the digs at the purist's pet pieves. Just watch it to be entertained. If you nit pick the details through this film, you'll only make yourself miserable. Plug it in and enjoy the carnage!

This movie could have been much better had it decided to only go in one or two directions, but instead, it went in fifteen different directions , introducing us to fifteen different potential stories, exploring only three slightly more than the others. The lessons on prejudiced and revenge were too ostentacious, instead of carefully woven into the stories. There were so many things going on,with so many people, that the movie bordered on boring. The characters were well defined, they just were not used properly.All in all, it did not cross the line into boredom, but it definately opened the door. With everything going on, the movie went no where, because it tried too hard to go everywhere. Don't think I will be reaching for this one on a rainy night.

It was good. The only issue is when people associate Skinheads and Nazis. SHARP Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice...

Wasted 1.5 hours and 3 bucks.

This film is poor from start to finish, script is dire and acting wooden.Its supposed to be a revenge movie,white guy joins skin head gang after his black girlfriend takes her life after being gang raped by said gang.Not a nice movie and why join the gang when he could of just killed the goons.Don't buy it eventhough its going cheap its poor be warned and rather unwatchable.

Good neo nazi revenge film, Poor picture and the 4:3 picture wasnt great, There is a wide screen version but its tripple the price.

Cant' write a review about the film as the DVD did not work.Got five minutes into watching the movie and the disc stuck and stayed stuck.The seller should have checked the disc before it was shipped!!!

Didnt dislike anything was happy with purchase and delivery was fast
