Great db gain for a very compact inexpensive design
This antenna had sufficient gain to pull in a low power digital station broadcasting on Channel 8. Previously I was using a very old but large Channel Master antenna from the old analog days. The old antenna is over 108 inches long but would not pull in this low power channel from the mounted position in the attic. The new Five Star pulled in the channel despite if there is snow on the roof or the roof is clear. I went from 54 channels received on the old antenna to 65 channels received. One of the channels I now get is channel 13 which is the opposite way the antenna is aimed. So the reflectors must do a good job of concentrating the radio waves into the pickup active collectors. This antenna is well worth the $50 price tag and performs very well with the J tube mount that allowed me to place it higher up than the old antenna. I also have a Televis pre-amp as I am feeding to TV's through about 100 feet of coax cable to each TV input. Assembly took about 15 minutes with the written instructions and the video for reference.

Good TV antenna in spite of the advert silliness
First of all, this is a good yagi TV antenna – and especially good for the price. Design and engineering of a yagi-style TV antenna is well understood. This antenna is manufactured in China and maybe engineered there also. The tech specifications are very good (8db gain for VHF; 12db gain for UHF) and reasonable for this size yagi with this number of elements. Note that this is a high VHF and UHF antenna – it will not work well on transmission channels 2-6 (low VHF) even though the tech specs seem to indicate that it will. Low VHF antennas usually have an easily noted 3+ft long element on the back and today are not common because very few stations transmit on low VHF. If you need a low VHF antenna, look for the long element and a specific mention of low and high VHF in the description. Note that if your TV station says Channel 2 this usually does NOT correspond to transmission channel 2. Check your location’s broadcast-transmission frequencies to determine if you need a low VHF antenna. Assembly instructions are nearly adequate. But assembly is pretty easy to figure out just from the photos. Amazon’s on-line photos are better than those in the assembly papers. Antenna wire simply comes off the bottom of the antenna. Nice watertight shield here with a (you might miss it) metal ring on the cable to clamp the boot to the cable so that it does not drop down. Be sure to let the cable droop away from the antenna and anchor to the pole. I did not see a good way to attach the cable to the antenna boom without causing some signal interference. Amazon has a splitter and some clips for a bundle for about $10 more. But the base unbundled antenna does include 50ft of RG6 cable. Nice. Although this is a good antenna, the advertising specs are absurd. *200+ miles: maybe for 1 out of 1000 users. *The box and Amazon advert includes a 4G-LTE logo: really, can it be used for a cell phone? * Microchip – “Built-in upgraded smart chip provides advanced VHF/UHF HD channels”; “Antenna can pick up VHF and UHF Channels thanks to the upgraded smart chip. With this booster technology it allows to reach signal as far as 200 miles (depends on your distance from nearest signal tower, the obstructions between your house and signal tower), and meanwhile reducing the signal noise interference.” : I see no evidence of a microchip. No power for a microchip. It may have some diodes, caps, and resistors somewhere (doubtful) but microchip – probably not. There is a balun to convert to 75ohm coax. This is a passive system. Classic yagi. Good TV antenna in spite of the advert silliness.

Easy Peasy !
Didn't ship for 4 days but arrived on time. Very satisfied with the antenna, good range and sharp picture. Very easy to assemble.

Cheap, effective, and lightweight.
Setup about 60 miles away from tv towers, with a channel master preamp at the antenna. I went from about 40 channels one a XXXX style antenna to over 90 on this yagi. Im now getting stations in from nearly 100miles away that I was never getting before. The antenna it's self was easy to set up and is lightweight but seems rigid enough. The pole mount is meh, cinched it down a ton to keep it from moving. The antenna comes with a good mount point though that should fit on a lot of pole sizes.

Worked Well For Us. Pulled In A Large Number Of HD Channels
Nice antenna. We got rid of cable TV years ago and opted for streaming services. Downside was we always lacked the ability to receive the local, over the air stations in our area. Solution - a digital antenna. This one solved our problem nicely. After I connected it to our TV it helped pull in well over 70 digital broadcast channels. When I moved it to our attic, the antenna pulled in even more stations. To be fair, I live in a major metropolitan area, so there are lots of TV stations within 100 miles of me broadcasting multiple HD channels. So if you’re in a more rural area, you may only get your local, digital stations. But still, an antenna is worth it if you’re a cord cutter and want the local stations. This antenna does the job nicely. Assembly was not difficult. It came in few pieces and I was able to figure out how to put it together from just looking at the picture. Can’t speak to its outside durability as I installed ours in the attic. But it looks like it’s made well and would survive being outside. I’d read other reviews from people who mounted their’s outside to get a better idea. Overall, a decent antenna. Especially if you can pick it up on sale. Would recommend.

Great product, even better signal, I don't have it in the best spot and still get a bunch of HD channels, recently had a windstorm and it held up through it!

El manual no ayuda pero el fabricante tiene video turorial en YouTube. Los materiales son de buena calidad pero falta ver que tal resiste granizo.

Well, I decided to give my now 25 year old Antenna a retirement plan and purchased this item on Amazon.I spent the day installing the unit on the top of my roof, we are fortunate to be on the top of a hill with a clear view to the TV channel Towers. I hooked it all up and fired it up….. I set the TV into search mode and waited. After it finished loading the channels, I immediately noticed missing channels and a couple with the picture was unwatchable. I then re-positioned the antenna over the next 3 hours and finally gave up in desperation. I re-installed the old 25 year old Ant. and straight away, a PERFECT picture on every channel. I will give credit to Amazon who on my request immediately said to the return the item for a full recovery of funds.

Buena compra, recomendado.
