I really, really love this coat. It does run small, so if you are small or average build order a size larger than what you normally wear. If you are wider through the shoulders or have a larger build in general get 2 sizes bigger. I am 5'2, 120 lbs, average build and I got a medium. It would be 5 stars if it was just a tad wider through the back and shoulders but I'm keeping it, I just won't be wearing any really bulky sweaters underneath it. The hood is also mainly for decoration I believe, since it is enormous and covers my whole face! It's removeable though so I just zipped it off. The coat seems excellent in very cold weather, I am from Vermont and temps have been between 5-15 F since it arrived. For the amount I spent on this coat, (I ordered dark blue which for whatever reason was $150 less than the black or burgundy, and it's a very nice color) I am happy with it.

I purchased this coat a few years back and just loved it. When I found it again, I jumped on ordering it. I gave it just 3 starS Though as this new Coats’ shell is a super shiny polyester, where the older coat was a flat nylon material. It’s now a lot noisier when you swing your arms. The shiny material was also not as pictured in the add. Also the pockets Of the older coat were lined with a warm felt lining. This new coat has just the polyester lining in the pockets. Also the fur is gray/white instead of the brown as pictured. So there were many factors different. But I like the fit of the coat with the down feathered insulation. It’s warm and I like the dark green color. They need to update the picture. The picture shown is exactly what I purchased a few years back. So I was disappointed when I saw the white fur and the high gloss sheen of the material.

I am so disappointed. I love this coat but had to send it back. I am a size 8 and read the reviews about the sleeves being tight so instead of a medium I ordered a large and even then the sleeve were way too tight. It was tight across the back as well. I would have exchanged it for an x-large but thought I would have the same problem with the sleeves and the rest of the coat would be too large in that size. The only thing I didn't like was the hood. When I pulled it up it went all the way down over my face down to my chin. It's a nice coat but there are some problems with the fit.

Great coat! Tested it out in the -5 degree Chicago weather yesterday and was very warm. The only parts of me that were cold were parts that weren't covered by the coat! It is comparable in warmth to a much more expensive Columbia down coat that I also own. Length is great, I am 5'9 and it hits my mid thigh and keeps my legs warm. It is also very cute and has a nice shape to it, I don't have to sacrifice style for warmth like I thought I would have to! I have not had any problems yet with it shedding feathers like other reviewers described, but I have only had it for a few days. Feather shedding is to be expected with any down coat though, so I'm not worried about it. Great value, well made and very warm!

I just received the package and tried it on right away. The other reviewers were right when they said it's a bit tight on the arms. I felt it too. I'm 5"9, 140 pounds, and I bought a large but I should have bought one size smaller because now it's too roomy, even with a sweater inside. Medium would have been better since now it doesn't look shapely at all. But it's really warm and will be great to use outside in Indiana winter.

This coat fits fine, however I HATE wearing it because the feathers get all over whatever I'm wearing underneath, both pants and top because of its length. In addition to the feathers sticking to my clothes, they get stuck in my shirt and poke my back or arm, wherever it came out of the coat.When I take it off you can see little feathers floating all around in the air. I love how warm it is, but it's such a hassle to have to wear an extra layer just as a barrier between myself and the coat so the feathers don't get all over my clothing underneath. I would not recommend purchasing if that sounds like something you don't want to deal with.

Attractive coat, but on the thinly filled side and not warm for temps below freezing unless you have many layers underneath. It is very narrow on the shoulders, so I had to take a large instead of a medium. The coat does not fit proportionally throughout the body. I am 5'6", 135# and a large fit good at the shoulders, but rather wide around the waist and hips. Even with the side strap on the tightest snap, it is still wide. I love the long length on the legs which helps with the cold. Overall, nice looking jacket, but not really sized properly for the typical women's hourglass shape.

Although the coat is warm and looks great there are two huge problems that may just be too much to make it worth keeping the coat.Problem 1: The down feather gets all over my clothes. I cannot wear any dark colored clothes under this coat. A huge inconvenience as I have tons of dark clothes. Taking a lint roller whenever I have this coat on is ridiculous.Problem 2: The hood is way too large. It keeps getting blown off and there is no way to adjust the fit.

A bit expensive,but nice.
