They work well with metal weights
These work perfectly with my Snode AD 80's. They stick well and don't seem to want to fall off. I think these would work well with any metal weights.

Perfect Fit and Function but PRICEY
The media could not be loaded. The fit and function is like an Apple Product. Very expensive but it works and it works very well. 2 Pairs / 4 platemates of of 1.25lbs plates (2.5lbs per pair) will run you $100. $100 for 5 pounds total of weights is expensive. Is it worth it? For me yes. Adding micro increments of weight extremely fast and without hassle is very convenient and foolproof. Magnets at times seem too strong but it’s better than not strong enough.Fits well with Ironmasters adjustable dumbells and Kabuki Kyubells. Will stick on anything steel or iron. If there’s a thin coating of urethane, it will probably work as well but I havnt tried. If you think you can DIY your own magnets on micro plates…. Think about how long those adhesive magnets will work time over time again after. Eventually that adhesive will peel off.Just buy once cry once and you’ll have these micro progressive overload plates forever

Strong Magnet
They would sell a ton of these if it sold for about $10 less. Good quality, good magnetic adhesion, pricing is too high though and never on sale, even on Black Friday.

They are awesome!
The work perfect on my PowerBlock dumbbells. Easy to stick on and take off. The magnet is super strong, will buy from them again!

Magnet is weak
Only one of my pair will stay on my metal dumbbell. The other one constantly wants to fall off. It’s not safe - it could fly right off the dumbbell.

Holds relatively well on Urethane series Powerblocks
I purchased these because I own the Powerblock U-90s, which only increase in 5lb increments after you exhaust the 2.5lb cylindrical "adder weights". They don't stick to the urethane series as well as they do the classic non-urethane PBs, but the 1.25lb platemates hold with more than enough strength to eliminate any fear whatsoever of them sliding/falling off. Do keep them clean (dust/dirt free) though, as any dust on the magnetic surface of the platemate will hinder the magnetism, and possibly promote "sliding".NOTE:The seller accidentally shipped me 4x2.5lb platemates rather than the 4x1.25lb weight mates I had originally ordered. These held nearly as well as the 1.25lb platemates and I was still confident that they'd hold under typical usage. As a workaround, while waiting for the replacements, I attached 1x2.5lb platemate to the bottom support of each white powerblock handle. This is pure metal with no urethane coating and it locked on extremely well, despite not being the same width of the platemate. As long as you center the platemate on the support, the weight distribution should be okay for most exercises (though I can think of a few where the weight distribution would be affected). Had I thought of this beforehand, I probably would have ordered 2x2.5lb instead of 4x1.25lb.After notifying the seller "Serious Steel" of the shipping error, they immediately shipped out the 4x1.5lb replacements along with a return label to ship the 4x2.5lb weight plates back. Great service.

Great idea, but pricey!
I was pleasantly surprised at these. I have 5 and 2.5 plates for my DB/BB sets, but wanted something to be able to increment at a total of 2.5 # when I was feeling my way to a higher rep weight, since my min reps for any particular exercise is 15 (over multiple sets!) and the max (to date) is 48. While these little gems are really effective because they (a) do the job of allowing a small increment, (b) are made well and will likely hold up over a long period, and (c) are magnetic, they are rather pricey! If the manufacturer would reduce them to some degree, I'd probably have another pair and would even consider giving to a few other people I know who would use them as I do.

Three Stars
Good product, but I felt it was very much overpriced.

Added weight you can stick anywhere
I already had the 2.5 pound version of these so I knew what to expect. I thought these would be much smaller but they aren't. The size is about the same in diameter but they are not as thick if that makes sense. The magnets are just as strong and the cover seems just as durable. I love these because you can really place them on any painted cast iron surface. I essentially use them on kettle bells either on the flat bottom part or on one of the flat sides. It is not recommended for kettle bells but it works great. They stay in place through a set and don't move an inch. They could become a hazard if someone would swing the weights very violently or bang them together but who does that ? They are expensive for what they are but they are a niche product and if you need them the alternatives are not easy to come by.

These plates are absolutely terrible. They don’t offer enough magnetic strength to hold themselves onto a dumbbell, they barely stick when the dumbbell is horizontal and fall off when held vertical - and this is on dumbbells with a flat bare carbon steel surface. If they don’t work on those, they won’t work on anything. I have it 1 star because 0 wasn’t an option. At least I am getting my money back, but it’s still a hassle having to return them.In short, is this product shouldn’t be for sale. If you are looking to allow smaller increments with dumbbell lifting, I just bought a pair of 2.5 lb ankle/wrist weights by “empower”. Much simpler idea, will actually work, and only costs $27 instead of 2x$50.
