This thing is BRIGHT and well made.
To start, I will say I own a Surefire, Klarus and a few other no-name but all Cree-based lights. If you look up the XM-L2 you'll know that this is what's used in the mid-range lamps and regardless of brand, it's the technology that basically decides the brightness, regardless of the marketing and XXX lumens they try to tell you.I decided on this particular company after reading reviews on reviews of other brands based on the LED type and price ratio.Pros:Feels and looks very well made. Has a durable matte black finish with very simple, fool-proof, and fail-proof operation. With a week so far into use, no malfunction, paint hasn't chipped and overheating hasn't been an issue. Brightness hasn't dropped since original charge. Very efficient light.I also took apart and inspected the internals and noticed that compared to cheaper lights, the metal fittings are tight. Electronics soldering are decent. O-rings are generously used throughout to prevent water damage. I won't go so far to say it's waterproof but definitely weather proof as far as I can tell.Cons:Fixed focal length, if changing the focus is your thing. No other light modes. No batteries included. Make sure you get an 18650 battery. Conclusion:This is about the best you can get for this price level while it feels like a $100 range light. The satisfaction is high, first because of how crazy bright this light is and second, knowing that if anything happens, it's less than $20 to replace. Get a few and have them around the house and in your car.

Super bright, Simple ON/OFF switch
Simple ON/OFF switch = I hate having to cycle through multiple modes to turn ON/OFF.I am using 18650 cells that I have reclaimed from failed tool battery packs, typically one or two cells fail, the remaining work great, now I can use them in this flashlight.

Very bright, only average build quality, but good for a budget, and works well as a weapon-mounted light.
So I've given this Skysted only 4 stars because the build quality is simply not as nice as my ThorFire C8s ThorFire C8s Flashlight 900 Lumens Most Powerful XM-L2 Led Flashlight Waterproof Lamp Torch with Hidden Strobe for Camping Hiking Hunting, Rechargeable 18650 Battery Not Included which is the benchmark that I have come to judge all other lights by. This Skysted, however, is the only other tactical-style budget light I have found that even somewhat competes with the ThorFire (and in fact it does have one key advantage, mounting it to a weapon with a replacement momentary-pressure-switch tailcap). Comparing the Skysted to the Thorfire, here are the pros and cons:PROS (of the Skysted, relative to ThorFire):-has only one mode (on/off super-bright) that is less complicated to operate if mounted on a weapon when you really only want super bright-has standard C8 threads that can accept a [Generic]Fire endcap with momentary pressure switch, and it works well in that capacity-only other light claiming to use a Cree XM-L2 I've found that is actually as bright at the ThorFire (so seems to use the genuine Cree LED like the ThorFire)CONS (of the Skysted, relative to the ThorFire):-painted instead of anodized steel like the ThorFire has-thinner, untreated threads that are more likely to strip than the ThorFire's thicker threads-has only one brightness mode (versus ThorFire's 4 plus a strobe that is only activated by double-clicking the tail cap)-Overall does not have as nice of a quality feel as the ThorFire.-a few dollars more expensive at the time of this postBut overall, if wanting to mount it to a rail and replace the tailcap with one that has a momentary pressure switch coming off a cord that you can tape to your weapon, then this is a great affordable option. But for pretty much any other purpose, I would definitely recommend the ThorFire C8s at a similar price-point. (You can see my review of the ThorFire for more information).

Perfect Flashlight so far
I use this flashlight a lot throughout the day for work. Mainly inspecting aircraft.I love that this is a single mode flashlight, meaning it’s just ON/OFF. NO modes! With the button on the bottom of the flashlight. It’s the perfect size too. Fits perfectly in my back pocket. Bright enough to see what I’m looking at but not too bright.Battery was not included, uses a 18650 rechargeable battery.Overall pleased with my purchase!

Bright as heII
I had some spare JVC 18650s batteries I got this for. Do not shine even near someone or they will be blinded by this beast. Can shine on clouds at night. Solid casing and button. Great buy!

Great Light, Great Value
I love this little value! It is a mini thrower with a BRIGHT intense beam. It easily and effective lights down-range to about between 75 and 100 meters. I love that it is a single mode light, no fuss, and no million clicks. To that, I wish it had both a mo-mo and click switch, but it is only a clicky switch.I really like this little light! It will be especially good around the water and forest where distance counts.
