Piaa 15211 H11 Xtreme White Plus High Performance Halogen Bulb, (Pack of 2)

Second set of Low Beam installed in 2020 Ram 2500 Tradesman. Brightness is definitely better than stock but only got 19 months out of the driver side low beam. Truck does not have daytime running lights. The high beams are still working fine as they were originally replaced with first set of PIAA's. I also got less than 24 months on first pair installed. Going to try the Phillips NightGuide Platinum and compare brightness and longevity. 34.29 for a pair. Installing replacement bulbs in housing is a pain for my truck, have to access through undersized plastic panel in the wheel wells, must have been an engineering intern who designed the access panel and placement. Not Ram's better design ideas.

Installed the H11 Xtreme White bulbs in my 13 Subaru WRX in late September 2015 and they lasted until November 22, 2016 (Just over a year and one month). These bulbs were really great. There was obviously a huge difference in light output of these bulbs over stock. Never received any complains from other drivers passing by about brightness or color. The color temp of these H11's was white with a yellow-ish hue which is to be expected from an H11, but it just made seeing things easier that were out at a distance. It made night driving much easier for myself who normally has low light vision problems. The bulbs didn't last as long as I had hoped but that's to be expected from a high output bulb.

These bulbs definately have noticeable difference in light output, especially over OEM bulbs. The light is brighter and has hint of blue.It is definately NOT the deep blue that: 1) look stupid; 2) cause pain to others in oncoming traffic.The ONLY real problem I have is that these bulbs last about 18-24 months. You need to be sure to handle these bulbs with "kid gloves" and protect the bulb from being touched by anything. But with a 2005 luxury SUV, I am on my 3rd set of these bulbs.When I see the another SUV that is the same model as mine, I notice that their headlights aren't as bright and powerful, and are the yellow-white color.

* A REAL SHAME ~ I LOVE PIAA PRODUCTS...HAVE HAD MANY, MANY PIAA LIGHTING PRODUCTS... (( i.e. complete light sets )) BUT THESE INDIVIDUAL BULBS ~ hmmm... WHATs the TECHNICAL TERMS for IT ?~ uhhh.. Oh YEAH ~ THEY SUCKED ! *BOTH BURNED OUT WITHIN ONE MONTH !I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE ORIGINAL BULBS ~I JUST WANTED SOMETHING BETTER, SINCE THE NEW CRAPPY PLASTIC BUMPERS DON'T LET YOU MOUNT REGULAR PIAA LIGHT SETS ON !I HAVE SINCE REPLACED these BURNED-OUT PIAAs ... with REGULAR BULBS from a regular auto parts store !NO PROBLEMS STILL ~ AND ITs NOW BEEN MONTHS !( And I don't foresee any problems now )I WAS GOING TO RETURN THEM to PIAA ... SINCE I HAVE BEEN a LOYAL CUSTOMER SINCE 1976..BUT.. TO MY DISMAY... THE AUTO PARTS STORE that INSTALLED the NEW (REGULAR) BULBS, had ALREADY DISPOSED of the PIAAS !MY REVIEW ~ DEFINITELY TOO EXPENSE TO REPLACE OFTEN ! These bulbs are pretty good, but definitely not as expected. I was expecting these bulbs to be white, with a hint of blue. I wanted nicer looking headlights, without switching over to HID. These are brighter than my stock bulbs, but still have that nasty yellow look. They are whiter than stock bulbs, but still yellow. In terms of brightness, they do illuminate the road better at night, so I'm not completely unhappy. I just think that they are extremely overpriced for what you get now. I hope they last longer than expected. I've only been using them for 1 month, so we'll see.

2020 update: installed another set in my 2016 BMW X3. Work well and a nice upgrade over the factory halogen bulbs.Earlier review from 2011: I installed these in my 2008 Subaru that was purchased in 2010. I also put these in my 2001 VW in 2002. I like the whiter than stock output of these bulbs. They are not silly blue looking and just a bit whiter than stock.I do a lot of night driving and the additional brightness and whiter light is appreciated. My distance visibility has improved. No oncoming drivers flash me and these are legal spec bulbs. These don't dazzle/glare other drivers like the non-DOT and illegal extra blue bulbs out there.I think these are worth the investment.

I find that these bulbs are no brighter or whiter than the 9 years old factory bulbs that I removed. Definitely not worth the price for what I would consider the same as factory bulbs. Will not buy these bulbs again. I can not say anything about longevity as I have only had the bulbs for a week. The ease of install differs from vehicle to vehicle so no comment on this.

After several tries with LED lights and issues with drl and space inside my dust caps I settled back on halogens. PIAA was recommended from a friend so I thought I would try them out. Installed on a 2015 Silverado projector low beams (H11). First impression, not even close to the white light that is advertised. They are slightly better than my stock bulbs. So slight it's almost not noticeable. I'm disappointed and once they wear out I'll go to the dealer and upgrade to a legal HID or LED. (I don't want to burn anyone's retinas out)

This is my second set of these. Highly recommend. Nice and bright. 1st set lasted 10years. Which is awesome 😎
