Equal to those in martial arts facilities and good quality.
Equal quality to the one at my son's martial arts facility. It is the same brand, which is why I got it and it has held up for several months already and has no signs of wear and tear.

Great Bag For The Price
I have purchased, in the past, two Muay Thai Strike Shield for $60 a piece, the Everlast strike shield for $32 and this shield for $55 here on Amazon. While I just love the Muay Thai shields, because it requires you to focus on the form placement of your punches and kicks, it is not very forgiving if your wrist alignment is incorrect. The Everlast, while light weight, gives too much when an adult delivers a solid kick. This bag, the Tiger Claw Foam Kicking Shield, while extremely light, is resilient and while absorbing the full power of adult strikes and kick, does not cave in like the Everlast. While I would like it to be at least one inch wider and about 3 inches taller, I can't complain about the bag's resilience and durability. It is used daily at The Kenpo Tigers School in Randallstown, MD by both junior and senior practitioners. I highly recommend this shield to anyone looking for a light weight and durable strike shied

Great TaeKwonDo kicking pad
After having tried a few different kicking pads over the past decade, I always end up coming back to tiger claw. It is very easy to hold thanks to some well thought out grips and straps on the back. This bag is perfect for practicing side, back, push kicks, as well as for punching. I've been using these to teach taekwondo for maybe 8 or so years, and they've never disappointed. Rather, they're perhaps the most dependable bag I could think of.

Very good for home use
So far, so good. The pad seems of good quality for intermittent home use, though I'm not entirely certain how it would hold up to constant use in martial arts classes.Another reviewer mentioned that they had issues with being kicked because the pad wasn't wide enough. I have had this issue as well, but see this mostly as a control issue on the part of the kicker, as well as not using the multiple handholds to brace oneself for a kick in a better position. The ability to shift my grip while holding the pad allows for more flexibility in usage, too, especially considering the size.

Great little shield.
This is a great little shield with a good price. My one gripe is that it's a little short, but you can't have everything. It's got good thickness and shock-absorption, so you can practice powerful techniques without knocking your sparring partner over or injuring them. The number of handles (one plastic-tube-wrapped at the top, the bottom, and on both sides) allows for real flexibility when you hold the shield for a partner, so you can practice any technique you want to. Exactly the piece of kit I needed.

Best Kick Shield I have used
This shield is extremely functional, durable and absorbs impact really well. One of my students in 6'1" and 250lbs. I have no issues holding this shield against his kicks.

Good Shield for the average Martial Arts person
I bought this Kick Shield for my teenage son to practice with. It has held up pretty well for a couple of months. I like the various handles, but one of them seems to be already comming off. My son and his friends are pretty heavy users (5 days a week) of the shield so it maybe they over do it. Good for beginners or light users.

Best for not hurting clients feet, yet big guys can dig into it,r.
The best. I teach adults and 90% of what you see, especially the more expensive brands, still, suck compared to the tiger claw kick shield. It should be their flagship product. Here’s why. It won’t hurt a woman’s foot, if she kicks it with or without shoes. Somehow tiger claw fugurevthis our. Next, unlike the leather shields (way too heavy if you reach 16 sessions a day like me) the tiger claw sheiks has (now) 4 holes for compressed air from the closed celll foam, to disappear - yet, it holds, and doesn’t buckle or send the holder flyin. I can’t quite explain it. It’s friggin perfect.
