Great bang for your buck
This little cutie is one of my favorite coloring books for several reasons.1. This offers a variety of mandalas, ranging from very detailed to larger areas which allow space for shading2. The size is perfect for coloring on-the-go3. The size is also great for quick (ish) page completion. It normally takes me about an hour (with some interruptions) as opposed to some of the very detailed larger works (Secret Garden, Time Chamber, etc) that can take me days with my limited coloring time, though they are very much worth the time and effort involved in completing them. This little gem offers a more immediate gratification.4. Mandalas are on one side.5. Awesome priceThe only detractor is the pages are a bit on the thin side and I almost had some poke-through with my Verithins, but with careful use, this is not a huge issue.

Color in peace
The Pocket Mandala Coloring Book is a perfect travel companion. I love the size. It's small enough to throw into a napsack, purse or luggage but large enough to provide reasonable drawing space. I've used this at the beach and while waiting for appointments. It definitely passes the time. I never thought I would be able to just sit all day and color. What I like about this coloring book is that focus is required. A lot of the designs in the book have a lot of detail so I had to really get in close. It kind of reminded me of the monks who do the designs with the colored sand. The designs are what really make this book stand out. All the illustrations are intricate and well designed. Flipping the pages is like looking through a kaleidoscope. Really beautiful just in black and white, but after the pages are colored, even more so.There is not one main theme in the book though. Although a lot of the designs do take on a kaleidoscope effect, there are waves, lines and one intense looking owl. Some of the pieces in the book have taken me days to complete. It's not some quick thing to be completed, which is kind of the point I guess. It is calming, but I think I'm too much of a coloring perfectionist. Maybe I can let that go before I finish.

So Nice I Bought it Twice
I'm really enjoying this book. The designs are licensed from Shutterstock, so some will look familiar to mandala afficianados, but the book offers a nice variety of styles that are suited for the small page. Each design is printed on one side of the page, and the paper is thick enough to handle high quality watercolor markers like Tombow, Marcy Le Plume II, or Faber Castell Artist Pitt pens (the two pictures below were colored with Faber Castell). However, the paper rolls up a bit on blending, such that you might want to use a palette to mix colors in advance of applying them. The book is ideal for road trips, quick coloring when you don't have time or inclination to color a larger mandala, and experimentation with colors or techniques--better to make a mistake on a small mandala that took an hour to color than a complex one that took a week!

Thoughtful details make this book a great purchase
The Pocket Mandala Coloring Book is a really nice product – not only is it very reasonably priced at $5.95, but it has so many other things going for it. Beautiful and inspiring illustrations that help calm the mind, especially in our busy modern life. The variety of drawings available are amazing – nature scenes, flowers, and intricate mandalas illustrations are all included. It also has double-sided pages so color doesn’t bleed through into another drawing. Plus, the pocket size of 6x6 makes it easy to take it anywhere and color on the go. These thoughtful details really add to the value of the book.I have just started getting into these adult coloring books, and I’m really enjoying them. It definitely helps keep me calm and centered. Although this one is appropriate for any age, some of the drawings might be too intricate to color for young children (unless coloring outside the lines works!). This one really stands out as a winner from others in the genre.

The best Travel adult coloring book I have found.
What I really do like is the mixture of designs. From fairly detailed to moderately open, a design can be chosen to fit your particular mood and amount of time available.I really like the book, though I do wish the pages were perforated in case I wanted to tear them out. Also, I wish a similar version was made that was a little smaller in one direction or the other to fit more easily in my daily purse. It fits well in my travel purse though, and I have not found a travel color book that is better than this.If you use markers that might soak through, you may want to cut a section of card-stock or something to go behind the current page.

Beautiful and stunning fun activity for stay-at home adults.
I can't believe it's been so long since i've colored!!! This book sure reminds me about my love for coloring. The patterns are quiet stunning and really all are spectacular. I am so in love with these! They're so fun. I am making a collage with a few of the prints, I am so excited to see what the final project looks like. I plan to buy a few of these for my friends as they will make amazing gifts

My 9 year old daughter loves this coloring book.
My 9 year old daughter absolutely loves this. It is the perfect size for carrying around for boredom in the car, at a restaurant, etc. There are a lot of different patterns. I think we might frame some of her finished work!

Perfect for travel
I love this little book. It is the perfect size, the designs are fun, and most of the pictures do not go into the fold of the book. I use markers and they do bleed through the paper but I just put another piece of paper behind and it is fine.
