Helps to save your floors
Easy to use and has saved my wood floors from scratching. They are a little challenging taking them off and on but it’s worth it! Especially if you have wood floors!

High Quality Materials. Get these before your cheap caps wear out!
My wife's Guardian front wheel walker came with polymer caps on the back legs. Two days ago one fell off, both had worn away exposing the aluminum tube leg! She had only used them for 4 months, only about 5 or 10 minutes outdoors on pavement a couple of times a week. And she is not heavy but wore the caps through before we knew it. BE SURE YOU ORDER THESE SKI GLIDES BEFORE THE CAP ON YOURS WEARS THROUGH. LOOK AT THE CAP.I ordered these when we got home and they came two days later. I am impressed: quality durable thick polyethylene, well designed, robust locking wedge securely holds these glides in the leg and ar, easy to install.BUT!!! I had a problem because the caps put on by Guardian/Drive contained plastic posts inside the hollow leg that had to be removed before I could install the new Vive Glides. Not so easy, totally flat surface with nothing to grab hold of to pull them out. I had to drill into the plastic plug to get them out out. Then the VIVE Ski Glides slipped right in and it was simple to tighten the Phillips screw pulling up the wedge and anchoring the glides tightly in the leg. They glide effortlessly across carpet, hardwood, linoleum, tile. And will be much smoother on pavement. Be sure to get them tight enough to prevent the glide from rotating.PLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION ON THIS PRODUCT PAGE AND IN THE SMALL INSTRUCTION SHEET THAT COMES WITH THESE VIVE SKY GLIDES! Many reviewers have not done so.THE FABRIC COVERS ARE FOR INDOOR USE ONLY! DO NOT USE THEM OUTDOORS. THIS IS STATED IN THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AS WELL AS THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT COME WITH THE GLIDES. They can tear in one day on pavement.I recommend these for everyone who uses a front wheeled walker. This is much better than tennis balls and look a lot better too.

The ideal solution for chattering walkers
There has been one solution for walkers that make chattering noises when pushed across wood or linoleum surfaces. For years, people have cut holes in tennis balls and put them over the back legs of the walkers. Good news: it solves the problem. Bad news: it changes the angle of the walker, and adds a fair amount of weight that has to be picked up and moved through the air. These ski glides are a much more elegant solution. By smoothing the leading edge of the feet, they minimize or eliminate the chattering effect. And they weigh even less than the typical rubber crutch tips with Teflon bottoms that they replace, and far less than two tennis balls. As if that wasn't enough, the product includes felt booties to cover the skis, in case you encounter a surface that doesn't work with the shape of the skis. There are two downsides that prevent me giving a 5-star rating. Most important: if you move the walker backwards, the square edges catch, particularly on carpet, so there are times the user will have to pick up the walker when sliding would have worked otherwise. Why not turn up the back of the ski so it's shaped like the front, or design the device so it's shaped like a small dish, or a furniture caster? That would let the walker slide smoothly in any direction. The second problem is the lack of instructions in the product description that a screwdriver is required for proper installation. As a caregiver, I brought the Ski Glides but no tools, so I had to use a knife point to turn the Phillips head screws that activated the expander bolts. However, overall this is the best way I've found for making walkers glide silently over all surfaces. With these installed, my mother's speed with the walker nearly doubled, and she found it far easier to use. Two thumbs up, but only four stars.

Worked well!
Had to use a walker after knee replacement surgery and my physical therapist suggested sliders for the walker instead of tennis balls. I like that these came with covers since I have all hardwood floors at home. No scratching!!! I take the covers off when I use it outside.

Glides sturdy & stay on securely!
The plastic glides are the best. The cloth covers to protect wood & tile worked well, just don’t stand up if you don’t stop to remove when you go out on concrete sidewalks!

Look much better than tennis balls
These look so much better than tennis balls. Not hard to install, just remove any rubber feet, etc. so you have the bare tube on the bottom, tighten the screws (tight enough to prevent movement but not so tight to risk breaking the plastic) and voila! For indoor use I also installed the "booties" over the glides to prevent possibly scratching the hardwood floor. The booties also offer an additional benefit in that they provide a little resistance on the floor, like the tennis balls do.The glides seem very sturdy. The booties are made of a tough fabric-like material with elastic to hold them on the glides, I don't think the booties would come off easily.I would use the glides with booties indoors and remove the booties for use outside. I'm very satisfied with these and they look so much better than the tennis balls.
