This vintage watch takes its cues from Italian military-style watches in the 1930's, but it features a modern case size and today's high tech, precision assembly. A special "sandwich" dial is used where the lower layer is painted with Luminova material and the upper layer is laser cut to let the markers show through. The proven and reliable Unitas 6497 mechanical movement is the centerpiece of the watch with dot hammered finishing and blued screws visible via an exhibition case back. In keeping with the vintage design, a domed acrylic crystal is used on the front helping keep the warm retro look.
